- that God may use these difficult times to turn souls to His word and love. Also for the general unstable situation in Greece. May God's will be done regarding the viability of the E.U. We need your prayers for two Omonia Church members - Luydmilla - who is now in cancer stage four and

Dimitri who had a severe stroke lately. Please also pray for my mother - Evangelie - 89 - who is under a stroke since last Christmas. Looking forward to see you on May 12. —Alex

Alex and Eleni will be in the states for a few weeks beginning May 9. They need our prayers that things remain on track back at Onomia while they are here. Pray also that they are effective in their work while traveling across the U.S. visiting the sponsoring congregations. We are looking for an auto for their use while here. If you can help with this need, please contact Howard Harris ([email protected]). Eleni will be preparing a meal for our ladies on May 21. —Howard

Greetings and best wishes to you and the brethren in Nashville. We are all doing well and the work of the Lord is progressing well. The only problem is, we are experiencing power cuts (power rationing) and therefore we are handicapped in many ways. We hope this will be over before too long —Kennedy

Dear brothers and sisters! Thank you willing to pray for us together, now it is very important to us and we will be very grateful for your prayers.

Continue to pray for our language studies, that we can learn to communicate well. Pray that leaders will be found in jungle villages that will better sustain church plants in that area. Pray for our summer campaigns at Kumanii. Especially pray for the July medical mission, in which several from Hillsboro will be participating. Pray that many lives will be touched and the gospel message proclaimed for the glory of God.

CAPE TOWNJerry (Krista) D'AltonEmail: [email protected] Summerville, Cnr. Parklands Main & Northdale Rd, Parklands, Cape Town, South Africa 7441

Please pray for: (1) support for a younger man to assist in the work here and to eventually take over from me, (2) greater impact for our evangelistic efforts and spiritual growth of the congregation.

We would request prayers for my youngest son, Daniel, who after a very tough time financially is on the verge of a major breakthrough in a sales position. He has been my right-hand man in the work here from the time we started. —Jerry

NAMIBIAJohn (Martie) D'AltonEmail: [email protected]. O. Box 1183, Tsumeb, Namibia, Africa

Please pray for the school and the Church. John and I also need prayers because we get very discouraged because the growth we want to see is not happening and we are really working hard. We are so blessed to have a congregation like Hillsboro behind us but please, we need your constant prayers. Not just for now but for every day.

—Thank you, In Christ, Martie & John(Stop by the News & Notes board and pick up

SOUTH AFRICA PRISON MINISTRYLouis (Linda) GerberEmail: [email protected]. O. Box 10117, The FallsGauteng, South Africa 1522

It is indeed a privilege to solicit the prayers of such spiritual people as the church at Hillsboro, whom, despite the fact that we have never met face to face, have

supported us all these years. As you might know, I was diagnosed

with Parkinson’s almost ten years ago. If you asked me, I would say that I am doing great. I had a DBS implant which takes care of most the tremors. However, it is affecting motor skills. In preparing for the worst, I am training others to do what I have been doing, traveling to different places in the country to: (1) Visit inmate Students: WBS, NLBM, ONUG and other students. (2) Teach others to present the above mentioned program to inmates. As you would have seen from some of my reports, we have been to some of the prisons nearby and have an appointment with the chaplain to do training there next month. (3) So, regarding challenges and opportunities, we have made email contact with many WBS teachers and have been able to baptize some of those who have requested baptism. This always remains a challenge since the authorities do not readily grant permission.

Again, on a personal note, please pray for my wife Linda. Not only does she have to deal with the loss of her 22 year old son, but her working environment in a semi-state institution (Ekurhuleni Metro-counsel) is extremely bad because of the current politics. Pray also for our son Lourius [28], an Electronic technician, that he will not get despondent. —Louis

THE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL AT CADOUCHEFonrose (Murelle) TeogeneEmail: [email protected]

Othodox/non-believing people - Larisa, Zhanna, Pavel and Marina. (2) The summer season. We will have two short term teams come through LST. Pray for the plentiful harvest. (3) Ongoing renovation projects that we are able to keep the facility appealing to our visitors. (4) My wife Valeria. Most of the time she is home with the kids, which is often hard. Please pray for her patience and our wisdom in raising godly children. Also please pray for Ivanka as she is starting to attend kindergarten. (5) Our health. Children were sick several times this winter. I was sick basically every month this winter (even now I have some kind of cold).

Thank you so much for being there for us, for your prayers and support. We really appreciate you and love hearing from you. —Vitaly Samodin

Prayers for the three of us who minister in the Hilltop congregation would be most appreciated. Justice Lepheane is studying and preaching and has a young family. He is growing in his reputation as a talented preacher and the request is that he will balance his roles well and continue to grow in the knowledge. Frank Matenda has worked hard and well with the youth and the request is that the congregation grows to be able to support him fully. I am enjoying seeing the congregation grow in numbers, financially and in personal maturity among the members, but pray that we grow faster than the average of 10 a year. Also please pray for David Louw in Wolmeransstad who has baptized several this year but who has health concerns. Please pass on our gratitude for bringing us before God on the missions Sunday. In Him, Chris

I want you to pray for me—for my health so that I can keep doing the Lord's work in Haiti. I made a vow to God to work full time preaching the gospel in Haiti only. Pray for me so that I can be a sincere, faithful and honest person in the work of God. I need prayer for the safety of my family in Haiti.
