Silk Road Initiative

• The Silk Road initiative was flagged by the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over six months ago in the presence of large number of regional Asian players including India.

• There have been follow up in terms of other projects as North South Corridor for connectivity in the region that could expand physical communication linkages providing considerable boost to economies by expanding prospects of trade, travel and linking people.
