Your research tasks are welcome. RESEARCHER’S NOTICEBOARD Australia faced many enemies during World War Two Germans, Italians Vichy French and the Japanese. Rarely however, have the Chinese been identified as an antagonist. An exception resulted in the death of several Australian Prisoners of War at the hands of Chinese troops or bandits, near Hoban on 8 th April 1944. Others were wounded.     RESEARCHER’S NOTICEBOARD

    Australia faced many enemies during World War Two – Germans, Italians Vichy French and the Japanese. Rarely however, have the Chinese been identified as an antagonist. An exception resulted in the death of several Australian Prisoners of War at the hands of Chinese troops or bandits, near Hoban on 8th April 1944. Others were wounded.
