    IntroductionsEachattendeewasaskedtointroducethemselvesincludingidentifyingtheirroleinbicyclesafetyfortheirorganizationandwhattheywantedtoaccomplishfromtheworkshop.AlistofmeetingattendeesisprovidedinExhibitA.ReviewofCrashDataPresentationApresentationwasprovidedtoclarifywhatthebicyclecrashproblemisinHillsboroughCountyandisprovidedinExhibitB1.Keyfindingsfromthebicyclecrashdataareasfollows: Over60percentoffatalcrashesareoccurringat

    nightandbicyclelightswerenotbeingusedduringthesecrashes

    Over40percentofthebicyclecrashesareoccurringononly7percentoftheroadways

    Themostcommoninjurycrashtypesinclude: MotoristFailedtoYieldataNonSignalizedInter

    InfrastructureandOutreachStrategiesPresentationsPresentationswereprovidedonpotentialinfrastructurestrategies(ExhibitB2)andoutreachstrategies(Education/Enforcement)(ExhibitB3)thatarecommonlyusedtoreducebicyclecrashes.ProblemCorridor/AreaPreliminaryPresentationApresentationwasprovided(ExhibitB4)thatidentifiedtheanticipatedapproachthatwillbeusedtoindentifymitigationmeasuresforspecificproblemcorridorsorareasaspartofparallelstudyefforttothedevelopmentoftheBicycleSafetyActionPlan.Thepresentationalsoincludedsomeoftheissuesthatcontributetobicyclecrashesandmitigationmeasuresthatmaybeapplied.
