The crusher ROmiLL CP1 was awarded with the main Prix “The Golden Spike” at the international show ZEME ZIVITELKA 2005 in České Budějovice. MOBILE ROLLER CRUSHER OF WET GRAIN WITH PRESS CP1/CP1-M PRINCIPLE The machine takes part in technology of the so-called split harvest of wet grain and its ensilage. It is used for processing maize and various kinds of grain, legumes, mainly in colder regions where the crop does not mature. This is an economically highly effective method of post-harvest treatment. This method has found its first European use in Finland and England. Now it is spreading dynamically all over the Europe, even in the very hot southern regions. Farmers, regardless of regional conditions and differences in breeding kinds, convert to this method of feed processing. Owing to significant costs savings, they can get ahead and gain competitive advantage at animal products market. SPECIFICATION The type CP1 is determined for operation on a farm where grain, transported from a field from a harvester, is processed and stored in a bag. The machine is equipped with a roller mills and is driven by a cardan shaft connected to an at least 100 HP tractor. It is approved for road traffic up to 40 km/hr. The primary producers and harvest service companies also, can take advantage of high- variability of this machine. Thanks to tipping hopper, the crushing unit can be replaced with a separator very quickly, and thus different kinds of materials (sugar-beet pulp, brewery malt, maize silage, etc.) are possible to press into the bag. Using this separator uncrushed grain can be also stored in a bag, if it is required. If needed the press tunnel can be chan- ge quite quickly and easily and thus to choose the right tunnel size regarding to the subse- quent daily take-off from the bag. The tunnels are produced at size 5, 6.5 and 9 feet (the size 9 feet is determinate only for bagging of dry whole grain). The wet grain is transported from the field to the machine and is filled into a hopper using a receiving worm conveyor or a front loader. Consequently, the grain is crushed and into crushed material a preservative is sprayed through nozzles. The processed product is afterwards transported and pressed into a bag of required diameter using special helical device. The result is crushed preserved mass with optimal moisture of 30 to 40 % (accor- ding to the kind of material), which is stored at the maximal air displacement. The machine can be used year-round: as a wet grain crusher during the harvest season, and as a dry grain grinder, optionally also as a crimper, in remaining part of the year. The crushed and preserved feed can be emptied into a silage pit instead of into a bag. BENEFITS Using this method of grain treatment immediately during harvest, unrivalled the lowest costs can be achieved. Under the conditions and price relations of the Czech Republic, the savings due to the elimination of maize grain drying amount to 20-33 /t. For about 9 t/ ha yield, the costs range from 13 to 17 /t, according to the preservative used. In summa- ry, this method provides costs savings about 33 /t. The diesel consumption of the ROmiLL roller crusher with press is about 0,9 l/t – which is by 2,5 l/t lower than of a hammer mill of equal throughput and ensilage press. Moreover, it only needs one tractor and one operator. The feed processed by the method mentioned above, contains more water- soluble sugars, is digestible in a better way and has higher utilization of soluble nitrogen. It optimizes starch ratio in paunch and small intestine which results in lower occurrence of paunch acidosis. SUMMARY OF ADVANTAGES: One machine covers 4 different operations. - grain crushing - spray application of a preservative into the crushed material, or additional moisturizing - mixing of the crushed material and the preservative - bagging of the mass Significant costs reduction in post-harvest treatment - matchless capacity – up to 20 t/h with the diesel consumption of 0,9 l/t of product - one operator for the whole process from crushing to pressing The feed structure can be varied according to the requested fineness both for cattle and monogasters High variability: - quick change of units, and thus pressing different kinds of materials into a bag (sugar-beet pulp, brewery malt, maize silage, etc.). - 3 different diameters of press tunnels - 5, 6.5 and 9 feet. Easy and fast change (the diameter of 9 feet is determined only for bagging of dry whole grain) - crushed and preserved mass can be emptied into a silage pit instead of into a bag SPECIFICATIONS CP1 Tractor drive min. 100 HP Operational capacity Cattle 15–20 t/h (wet maize grain) Pigs* 8–15 t/h Hopper 3.7 m 3 Curp weight 2850 kg *if the request for finer feed structure for pigs persists THE BEST AR SERVED BY U

Mobile ConceptThe frame of the machine is firmly attached to the one-axle chas-sis. All other machine components are attached to the frame – mainly the chamber with the pressing auger, crushing unit, tipping hopper and the exchangeable pressing tunnel. The chassis is equipped with pneumatic brakes connected to a tractor. The machine is approved for the road traffic up to 40 km/h. Two independent electric circuits of the tractor supply the rear and brake lights and direction indicators, the preservative applicator pump and other electrical accessories.

Own drive by diesel engine – CP1-MBesides the standard drive from a tractor by a PTO-shaft, the machine CP1 can be equipped with an own diesel engine with the volume of 4400 ccm and capacity of 95 kW with a super-charger. The machine, equipped in this way, is transported to the place of work on a truck trailer. The main advantage of the ROmiLL CP1-M consists in the fact that during the work the drive of the machine is completely assured by own diesel engine, thus a tractor or any other driving machine must not be blocked. The maximum working speed of ROmiLL CP1-M is 5 km/h and the diesel consumption 0,5 l pro one tone of processed material. All other characteristics of the machine CP1 remain retained – simple attendance, capacity and comfort.

Crushing and pressingGrain is crushed by a roller mill series 900, specially designed for wet grain. The pressing auger, situated under the crushing units, transports the material into a pressing tunnel, where it is spread all over the bag diameter while the air is displaced. The crusher unit as well as the pressing auger are driven by a cardan shaft from a tractor.

PreservationThe preservative application is carried out by nozzles situated in the pressing auger chamber. The machine can transport 2 barrels with preservative (total volume 400 litters).

Optional MoisturizingWater inlet (usually from an independent tank) vents in the pres-sing chamber and is used for optional moisturizing of the grain.

Basic accessories› Cardan shaft› Preservative applicator› Sound and light signaling of operational conditions that require

an operator’s intervention› Lighting for night operation› 30-litre tank for sanitary water for personal hygiene› Lockable box for tools, operating materials, etc.

Optional accessories› Set for bagging of by-products› Exchangeable press tunnels – diameter 5, 6.5 and 9 feet.› Receiving worm conveyor
