    What is Mitacs Globalink? Would your research team benefit from the insight & perspective of an international student? Would you like to introduce top-ranked international students to the Canadian research &

    innovation landscape? Are you interested in expanding your research network to countries like Brazil, China, India, Mexico,

    Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Vietnam ? Would you like the opportunity to evaluate potential graduate students in a hands-on lab setting

    and access funding to help support them?

    Mitacs Globalink offers Canadian faculty members in science, engineering, mathematics, humanities,and social sciences the opportunity to work with exceptional senior undergraduate students from Brazil,China, India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Vietnam over a 12-week research project from May toSeptember 2015.

    Provisions for Globalink Research Interns GRIs)With a fully-funded internship program, GRIs are provided the following supports by MITACS: Reimbursement for plane tickets and work/study permits Bi-monthly stipend for the duration of their internship Full medical coverage Accommodation and housing Globalink Student Advisors (GSAs) mentor the GRI interns for the duration of their stay in Canada Professional skills workshops Meetings with professors, government representatives, and business leaders

    Mitacs Globalink Program will use the information provided in the application form to facilitatematching with the most appropriate student. It will be made available to the public online for viewing bypotential Globalink students and other interested parties:

    GRIs are expected to work 40 hours per week on their research project. During the duration of theproject, GRIs may be invited to attend industry and/or government relations events, professionalskills training workshops, or conferences. Supervising professors will be notified of their internspotential absences as far in advance as possible, and every attempt will be made to schedule theseevents outside of working hours.
