Worship and Praise Service

March 1, 2015

Welcome to worship at First Christian Church!

Each week we offer two different worship services: 8:15 am service features traditional worship and 10:30 am

service features modern worship.

Gage Lyons will share the communion and offering devotions this morning.

When communion is served, we invite all Christ Followers to participate, partaking of the bread

as it is passed and retaining the cup until we can all partake together.

Greg Taylor will be sharing a message from Chapter 22 of The Story as we continue our journey

through God’s Word. We will be celebrating the birth of Jesus - the story of “God with Us”.

The bell choir will be present “Glorify Thy Name” at both services.

Praying for missions: Urgent prayer request from Lazarus Fish, Myanmar Agape Christian Mission - John Ahkhi, the youngest brother of Ahcha Fish, Lazarus’ wife, passed away in a car accident on Feb. 21 in Yangon. John was a professor at the YCCS & had since planted a church in a Buddhist town of Htauk Kyant. John was serving as a pastor to that church. John leaves behind a wife & two small children who have no source of income. His mother had also been living them. Please pray for peace, comfort & provision for his family. Pray for the recent graduates of the Yangon Christian College & Seminary (YCCS) as they prepare to serve the Lord in various ways. Some graduates engage in cross-cultural ministry among the Buddhists in urban areas. Ask God to help them to be bold in proclaiming His Word to those who do not know Him. Pray for discernment as the seminary has to limit enrollment, due to such a high demand. Praise the Lord for Lazarus & his family as they minister in Myanmar.

We rejoice with and congratulate:

Ryan Schumacher & Ariana Chesna, 2813 Grand Parkway, Apt. 109,

Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410, on the birth of their daughter, Noa

Alexandra, who was born on February 21, 2015. Proud grandparents are

Dan & Elysa Tripp, 215 N Jackson, Clinton, IL, 61727, on the birth of

NEXT STEPS - FIRST STEPS! Exciting times are here!

Demolition & renovations are underway. The north door on

the east side of the church will be open during the day for the

workers but it will be locked in the evenings & on Sundays.

The south door on the east side will be unlocked during

service times. Also, there will NOT be many parking spots on the east

side of the church due to construction vehicles & trailers. Thanking you

in advance for your patience & understanding!
