NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD

The Manatee County Procurement Division provides notice of its intent to award a contract with Total Outdoor CareLLC for the provision of Code Enforcement Lot Mowing Services.

ENABLING/REGULATING AUTHORITY

Manatee County Procurement Ordinance, Sec 2-26.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

Contractor to furnish all equipment and labor necessary to provide Code Enforcement Lot Mowing Services whichinclude mowing of property (lots / parcels) of grass, weeds, and trash and debris removal that meet the requirementsof the County. The Contractor shall be responsible for the mowable area of the designated property as directed.

The solicitation was advertised on November 20, 2018 on the Manatee County website and directly solicited toapproximately 400 local business landscape contacts as supplied by Manatee County Code Enforcement. It was alsoprovided to the Manatee County Chamber of Commerce and the Manasota Black Chamber of Commerce for release toits members. Responses were received from the following firms:

1. Blades of Green, Tampa, FL2. Central FL Landscaping, Tampa, FL3. Coronado Lawn Service, Bradenton, FL

4. Elite Landscape Services, Sarasota, FL

5. Florida Landscaping & Property Mgmt, Bradenton, FL6. Southern REO Services, St. Pete Beach, FL7. Total Outdoor Care, Bradenton, FL

One no quote was received from East County Lawn Care, Inc. located in Myakka, FL.

EVALUATION RESULTS SUMMARY:

Total Outdoor Care LLC was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Elite Landscape Services could not be identifiedon SunBiz. Blades of Green, Florida Landscaping and Southern REO did not meet cure notice deficiencies and CentralFlorida and Coronado Lawn Services exceeded projected budget. A bid tabulation of the results is attached to thisNotice of Intent to Award.

The Procurement Division and the Code Enforcement Division recommend award to Total Outdoor Care LLC.
