What is MeCaTeC® ?The MeCaTeC® range of advanced polymer surfac-ing formulations from Castolin Eutectic provides fast practical solutions to a wide variety of industrial maintenance and repair problems caused by prema-ture wear of critical parts used in manufacturing machinery and equipment. MeCaTeC® is ideal for anti-wear coating and repair of all metals, including difficult-to-weld metals such as Ni-Hard castings. Our range of MeCaTeC® is environmentally friendly as is contains no VOC and is halogen free.

Works on all MetalsMeCaTeC® formulae are particularly suited for rapid, cold repair surface coatings on:
Unweldable metals, alloys or castings
Non-metallic surfaces such as concrete, ceramics, rubber, etc.
Machine parts of any size, intricate geometry or shape
Components with thick walls or fragile sections
Environmentally FriendlyMeCaTeC® is easy to apply manually, requiring no equipment, power supply or gases which makes it ideal for repairing machine parts either on-site or in the workshop.
The MeCaTeC® formulae are environmentally friendly as they are free of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) and of halogen.

What is the process of MeCaTeC® ?MeCaTeC® is a synthetic, thermosetting polymer with a three dimension-ally cross linked network structure, reinforced with advanced, composite compounds.
MeCaTeC® formulations are available in easy-to-apply Paste or Fluid forms which, after mixing the bulk polymer and hardening reagent ingredients, rapidly solidify and polymerise completely at ambient temperatures.
ApplicationOpen cast mining IndustryAt the beginning of the production of Calcium carbonate, the raw mate-rial is still in a liquid state with some particles in suspension. The cast iron pumps are subjected to severe corrosion of salts and to abrasion due to the elements insuspension. The corrosion is so high to cause a sweating of the product through the porosity caused by the corrosion.
Solutions
External and internal treatment with MeCaTeC® 103 F, then coating with MeCaTeC® A6 to reinforce and re-build the pump giving thickness and resistance to abrasion and corrosion. Thanks to this wear protection we have doubled the service life com-pared to the previous solution which was a blue grain molecular product and will also avoid the transudation of the product caused by the porosity of cast iron.
