Create Independent Requirement

Definition:-

Demand Management main function is to determine requirement quantities and delivery dates for finished products and its dependent requirements.

Demand management used to create demand program apart from customer requirements which are created through sales order management. To create a demand program, Demand Management uses planned independent requirements and customer requirements.

Planned independent requirements are used to perform Demand Management functions. A planned independent requirement contains one planned quantity and one date, or a number of planned independent requirements schedule lines, that is, one planned quantity split over time according to dates.

Objective :-

It is required to create the plan maintained in the Planned Independent Requirement. This document will help one to check the PIR through display mode.

Menu path :-

Logistics Production Production Planning Demand Management Planned Independent Requirements MD61 - Create

1. Press Twice MC61 Display

2. Press radio button next to Material

3. Update the following required and optional fields:

Field Name ValuesMaterial Enter the material

code numberPlant Enter your Plant

number.

Version Enter the version number or select from the possible entries.

Planning Horizon

Enter start date and end date.

4. Press Enter twice.

5. Enter the plan quantity against each month

6. Press tab Sched. Lines .

7. Enter the schedule if any specific date wise requirements are to be mentioned.

Note:- To make the plan date wise, Enter D in the period column, i.e the first left column and enter the date and planned quantity.

8. Continue the above entry for all required materials.

9. Press the Save .

10. Press the Back until you return to the SAP Easy Access Screen.
