Head CoaCH Brent Martindale Now entering his fourth year with Mesa Community College, Brent Martindale is looking forward to a season with three full years of recruiting under his belt. Martin-dale has coached volleyball for 20 years and comes most recently from the College of Eastern Utah, where he had been since 1995. Coach Martindale fits the mold at Mesa Community College through his emphasis on winning and recruiting quality players. During his tenure at Eastern Utah, the Golden Eagles had 13 Academic All-Amer-icans and 13 All-Region Players. Martindale played collegiately on the Ricks College Club Team in 1984 and 1988, then the University of Utah Men's Club Team in 1988-89. That team finished 2nd at Utah Regionals. In 1982, Martin-dale won the NORCAL Championships in the Sacramento Region while playing with the Northern California Boys Association, earning All-Tournament. Martindale's coaching career began in 1987 as a volunteer assistant on the women's team at Ricks College. Then, in 1989, he became manager/ assistant with the University of Utah women's team, and remained with the Lady Utes until 1992. For the next two years, Martindale was an assistant with the Utah Predators, a pro-fessional women's team competing in the NVA (National Volleyball Association). The Predators consisted of members of the USA Volleyball team in addition to college players. Coach Martindale has a BS in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Utah in 1991. He has been married to his wife, Laurel, for 21 years and together they have five children: Dayton (19), Landen (16), Sydnie (13), Kamron (11), and Ellie (8).

Added 13 digs against Glenadle and 11 versus Scottsdale. AT SNOWFLAKE - All-conference and 3A all-star MVP as a senior. Also all-state in softball and all-conference in basket-ball. PERSONAL - Natalie Elkins was born Oct. 27, 1993 in Show Low, AZ. The Speech Therapy major is the daughter of Billy and Sherri Elkins. She has two brothers: Bo, 35 and Bryant, 29 and two sisters, Becky, 32 and Janessa, 12. Becky played college basketball and volleyball. Her aunt, Karen Porter Hargrove, played on Mesa's national champion volleyball team in 1977,

Twice an all-tournament choice at the Cook Inlet Conference tournament. Won the Black and Gold Award twice for a GPA over 3.5. Was President of the Partners Club, a member of Young Life and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Volunteered with the Special Olympics, a food pantry and the Midnight Sun Vol-leyball Club. PERSONAL - Lindsey Logan was born April 16, 1994 in Anchorage, AK. The Special Education major is the daughter of Kent and Rebecca Logan. She has a sister Lauren, 16. She is majoring in Biology and is the daughter of Paul and Pandy Wyatt. She has a sister Holly, 34 and five brothers: Vinnie, 38; Lenny, 35; Joey, 33; Jace, 18 and Willie, 15.

She is a Special Education major and the daughter of Robin and Derek Sang. She has a sister Samantha, 22 and a brother Jeremy, 33. Her father played football at San Diego St. and her mother participated in track and field and cross country at Santa Ana College. Her sister, Samantha, played soccer at the University of Texas-Dallas.

Few, if any, NJCAA schools have had the overall success of the Mesa Community College athletic program. Through the end of the 2011-12 season, MCC teams had won 16 national championships in seven different sports, either won or shared 127 conference and region titles and have produced an amazing number of individual accomplishments. MCC athletes have won All-America recognition an incredible 242 times including athlets from every sport the school sponsors. As recently as 2007 Mesa won the Pepsi Cup, emblematic of the top overal athletic program in the NJCAA.
