SER VICINGIf You Need Service...

Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of

tile downdratt system mfless it is specifically

recommended in this guide. All other servicing

should be reti_rred to a qualified technician.

Be sure electrical power is off befl)re servicingtile unit.

blower system in order to service components

such as tile blower motor or air vent

mechanism.

Disconnect power to tile cooktop and reil/o_,e

Canning

Tm'_ the downdraR blower ON by pressing

the raise/lower pad. Place yore" finger on die

"center" of the pad and hold until you observe

the vent moving, theo release. The air veot

NOTE: For most convenient operation, set the

Mower to the speed you use most oRen. The

Mower wi]] come oil to this speed whenever

foods. It inav take longer to reach high cooking

telnperatures if tile downdratt is turned to high

For best results when heating oil till" deep

flTing or when boiling water, use the fl'ont

Grease .filters The etticiencv ot your downdratt depends on a

clean filte_: Frequency of cleaning depends on thet}pe of cooking you do. Grease filte_ should be

cleaned at least once a month. Never operate thedowndratt without the filte_ in place.

To remove: Pull the filte_ out by grasping themand pulling straight up.

To deml: Soak and then agitate in a hot detergentsolution. I,ight brushing may be used to removeembedded soil. Rinse, shake and remove moisture

betore replacing.
