The people had started strong, but stalled due to opposition.o A front burner priority had become a back burner problem.o What was at stake was not a building, but God’s presence!

o Isn’t it interesting that Jesus and all the apostolic writers of the New Testament said something about pra yer ?Could it be that these writers knew that what was most foundational to faith is can also be the most forgotten?Praise, whether spoken or sang, enables us to focus on what is right with God rather than what is wrong with us.Scripture can be used to bring us into praise.Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power. Psalm 21:13Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name. Hearing God’s Word is not the destination, but a rest stop along the way!Seven times in the Gospels Jesus says, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”The idea with both Jesus and James is to hear inWe hit the ground praying for protection. We can do what brings God pleasure and glory.   8 Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and that I may be glorified, says the LORD.

It’s what life is about now, and what will last forever! o Here instructions are given to live out the “deliver us from evil”
