MASTHEADI will place my masthead at the top of my magazine cover, however I will leave a space around 2cm at the very top of the magazine cover, so that I can put in a strap line. The font of my masthead will be 72pt, bold lettering; I will be using the Gill Sans Ultra Bold lettering style. The colour of my masthead will be white. The masthead is not going to be in a colour box, it will be over a background image but under a main image. My masthead will look similar to the Total Film masthead.

Strap LineI will also include a strap line that will sit just above the masthead, on the very top of the magazine cover. The font I will use for the strap line will be different from the masthead font. The font I am going to use for the strap line is going to be Impact and the size will be 36pt. The colour of this text will be Red. The strap line is going to say ‘The number ONE crime film of the year!’.

MAIN IMAGEThe main image of my magazine cover will be of the main characters in costume. The image is going to be a mid shot and will be in the centre of the magazine and will obscure part of the masthead, but will be under the cover lines. The characters in the main image will also use the gun prop in that is also seen in the trailer.

BACKGROUND IMAGEThe background image of my magazine cover will be of an urban, red coloured brick wall. I will fade the brick wall away slightly on Photoshop. The background image will sit behind all the text and the main image and will fill the magazine cover.

ColourThe colours of the costume, will be coordinating with all of the colours on the magazine cover; masthead, background image, cover lines, strap line, main cover line etc. The colour scheme of the magazine will be White, Black, Red and Turquoise.

Main Cover LineMy main cover line will go across the middle my magazine cover and it will sit on top of the main image. The main cover line will be the name of the film. The colour and font of my main cover line will be different from the masthead and the cover lines; the colour will be Red and the font will be Rockwell Extra Bold. The main cover line will occupy the same amount of space on the magazine cover as the masthead. However, the size of the font for my main cover line will be smaller than the masthead but much bigger than the other cover lines; 36pt.

Cover LinesMy cover lines will be a much smaller font than the masthead and main cover line; they will be 11pt and 14pt. The colour of the font is going to be a range of White, Red and Turquoise. I will be using quite bold lettering for the cover line headings; the lettering I will use is going to be Impact, the same as the strap line, however, the other font style will be Lucida Grande, which is Sans Serif. The cover lines will be giving the consumer information about what is in the magazine, such as information about the movie of which the main image and main cover line is promoting and other information about other films and actors. The cover lines will sit above the main and background images.

BarcodeI will place my barcode at the bottom right hand corner of the magazine cover. The size of the barcode will not be too big, and it will be above the main image and the background image.

WebsiteThe website for my magazine will be under the left corner of the masthead. The font of my website will be smaller than the cover lines; the font size for the website is going to be 10pt. The font that I will use for the website is again going to be Lucida Grande and the colour is going to be Turquoise.

Date and PriceThe date of my magazine issue will be situated just under the right corner of the masthead. I will again be using the Lucida Grande font and the Turquoise color. The font size of the date will again be 10pt. The price will be in a extremely small font of 8pt and the color will be Red. The price will be situated beside the barcode.
