Dear Parents/Guardians:
It has been a very busy and successful December at Lochdale. We started preparing for the music
singalongs, the “Gift of Giving”, final volleyball playdays, class inquiry-based projects, group discussions,
and a host of other fun learning opportunities. Our LCSA parent group has also been extremely busy
preparing for many school events including bake/craft sales, treat sales, hot lunches, school gardening, field
trip driving, and supporting our families in Burnaby. As well, Darlene James a retired teacher has been
busy with the Annual Quilt Raffle supporting Burnaby families. Students will also be recognized for
academic and effort excellence as well as our Lochdale Rockstars! We say goodbye to Rosanne Garcea
who has been helping at the community office. We welcome back Sue Coombes in 2019.
At this time, I wish each and every Lochdale family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We
look forward to continued success and growth for your children as we approach 2019. Thank you for your
support and effort ensuring our school remains a “safe and supportive” school community.
Sincerely,
Mr. D. Klarich , Principal
