And all the optical fibers Cable trunks are interconnected and signals are added dropped with optical add/drop multiplexers (OADMs). In addition, most of the optical networks have been implemented with optical to electrical and electrical to optical switches, which convert optical signals to electrical signals for processing, and then back again to optical signals. In this “fiber to the Home or Fiber to the building" (FTTH or FTTB) could replace all the existing Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) and Fiber to the Curb (FTTC) Network technologies. These are access networks in which a part of the link would be fiber, but not the entire link from the OLT to the end-user. Only at end-user an optical to electrical (O/E) conversion takes place. In FTTC network the terminal network segment is usually twisted copper pairs or coaxial cable so final optical receiver in a FTTC network typically serves several customers. But in Fiber to the Home Network to a Home or a building's link would be the optical fiber and as of now everyone needs high speed data, dependable voice communication and high quality picture transfer and video. For this the only solution is FTTH, because in this directly from the telephone switch to the subscriber's home is the optical fiber. Not only that it is a passive network and there are no active components are present from the telephone switch to the end user. This reduces the network maintenance cost and also eliminates the DC power along the link. The main advantage with FTTH is one fiber would solve all the purpose like, Internet, HDTV, Telephone etc.. Fiber To The Home (FTTH):

Usually in an optical network the physical layer technology is fiber-optic cable. And all the optical fibers Cable trunks are

interconnected and signals are added dropped with optical add/drop multiplexers (OADMs). In addition, most of the optical

networks have been implemented with optical to electrical and electrical to optical switches, which convert optical signals to

LIGHT RUNNER INSTALLATION

Stimulated Brillouin scattering is an effect caused by the nonlinearity of a medium, specifically related to acoustic phonons. It occurs essentially only in backward direction. It is frequently encountered when narrow-band optical signals are amplified in a fiber amplifier, or just propagated through a passive fiber.

Using our Light – SIM simulation software Stimulated Brillouin scattering can be studied & the graph can be plotted with reference to Signal gain & Pump power.
