June 1st, 2015 To Whom It May Concern, This letter is intended to serve as a recommendation for Nicholas Taylor. I have known Nick for the last 2 years when he qualified for the College Works Painting internship, where I was his direct supervisor. College Works Painting provides a unique and invaluable leadership internship program for highly motivated undergraduate students and is very selective of candidates. Out of three thousand original candidates, twentyfive interns were accepted into the program at the University of Colorado Boulder. To be one of those twentyfive, he had to demonstrate his ability to communicate and be selfmotivated. He convinced not only me, but also the Utah/Colorado/Idaho Vice President of his abilities and commitment. Each intern is given the opportunity to start and implement a marketing plan and lead sales for his or her business, followed by managing the production and customer service throughout the summer. During the year I managed Nick, I trained, consulted and worked with him on a daily basis. I have been especially impressed with his work ethic, leadership, and employee development abilities. In a field where a good portion of instruction is given over the phone, these skills are impressive. Nick finished the internship as a top performer in the state, finishing top 5 production as well as in sales, and produced over $50,000 in revenue with 100% customer satisfaction. His business created a culture in which his employees wanted to work hard for him, and he developed levels of leaders and managers within his small organization that increased his revenues from varying sources. Most importantly, Nick has shown his character and integrity to be very high. He has consistently reached the goals he has set in sales and impressed me with the care he gave to each of his clients. Very few college students have the experience that Nick gained while spending weeks with his clients providing a service to improve their most valuable asset. I am especially grateful for the leadership Nick displayed on the team. He often lead by example, more than seven times driving the top sales week out of 110 interns and set the record for the division in 2013 for the highest value clients. He consistently showed results in a professional and personable manner, and would be an asset for any organization. Sincerely yours, Aaron Lee Assistant Manager Wells Fargo Bank. N.A.
