V. Procedure.

Teacher's activities

1.Warm up. (3ms) *Chatting.

- Asks ss some questions in Vietnames.

+ What do you say when you meet your friends?- T introduces the new lesson 2. Presentation. (12ms) a. Pre-teach.

- T elicits vocabulary from ss.

- Check stress .

b. Presentation text. *Set the sence: T uses the picture in the book and introduces.( They are Nam and Mai. They are students in Vietnam. They meet each other at the school and they are greeting). - Asks ss to look at the book and listen to the tape two times.

- Asks ss to listen and repeat after the tape.- Asks ss to practice the text.- Listen and correct mistakes c. Model sentences.

- T elicits model sentences from ss.

S1: Hi . I am Alan.

S2: Hello, Alan. I am Lili.- Check meaning, form, use, and pronunciation.

3. Practice. (14ms) *Picture cue drill.- Asks ss to use the pictures LiLi, Mai, Nam, Alan, Lida, Peter for ss to practice.

Ex. S1: Hi, LiLi. I am Peter. S2: Hello, Peter. I am Alan.

-Listen and correct mistakes for students. 4. Production. (8ms) *Role play.(A3)

- Asks some ss to go to the boad to greet his or her classmates and then introduces about themselves. - Listen and correct mistakes.

5. Homework. (3ms)- Learn by heart the new words and the structure.

- Revision the lesson.

- Do exercises 1, 2 on pages 6 , 7.- Prepare A4 - 7.

- Let ss to predict the pictures they will listen.

- Give feed back. 3. While-listening. (14ms) - Let ss listen to the tape twice or thee times to check their predictions.- Give feed back and correct mistakes.

*A5 (Say it right).- Guides ss to read the sounds "h" and "i" in the words "Hello" and "Hi".- Asks ss to look at the book and listen to the tape.

- Let ss listen and repeat after the tape.- Asks some ss to read them before the class.

- Listens and correct mistakes for students. 4. Post-listening. (8ms) *Write it up.

- Asks ss to complete the sentences in part A 6 on page 13 in their notebooks.

- Goes round the class and help week ss.

- Give feed back and correct mistakes.

5. Homework. (3ms)- Revision the lesson.- Do exercises: 3,4 on page 8.

- Prepare B1-3.
