A message from our Principal…

Good afternoon everyone! How good was our Presentation Night? I was massively impressed and incredibly proud of our whole school community. We had great numbers attending and our students were provided a fitting occasion to be rewarded for some fine individual efforts this year! Hats off to our student leaders for their performance in running the event and Mr Jarrod Lyons, Mrs Evelyn Killalea and Mrs Wendy Schulz for their tireless efforts.

What a great balance of academic, sporting, creative and cultural recognition as well as band, choir and dance performances with some truly

outstanding presentations created by Mrs Cunningham and Mrs Denton. It was awesome! Part of my Principal’s speech last night was to announce that I have been successful in gaining the Principals position at Lavington Public School into the future. The future I see is a bright one and I look forward to sharing it with all of you! Over the last few weeks, I have announced our classroom teachers from Kindergarten to Year 4. Now – it’s time for the Year 5’s and 6’s: I can announce our Year 5 classes will be taught by:

Mrs Lisa Denton & Miss Kylie Dawson And our Year 6 classes will be taught by:

Ms Aana Nicol & Miss Fiona Smith We will also have a Year 5/6 class, taught by:

Mr Jason Hallandale. See you soon! Brett

The Dinner commences at 6:00pm and will finish by approximately 8:00pm. Parents are invited to arrive at 7:45pm to witness the presentation of their child’s Graduation Certificate. ‘CELEBRATION OF SUCCESS’ DAY Next Tuesday, 12 September we will be celebrating the positive behaviours and choices that students have made in the playground during second semester with a ‘Celebration of Success’ day.

During the last session on this day, students will take part in a ‘Water Circuit’ involving lots of water activities here at school. On this day, students are NOT required to wear their school uniform. Instead, students should wear a shirt, shorts,
