Integrated lighting systems
The basis for Kreon’s design is a very clear characteristic visualisation of the company’s philosophy: purity and simplicity. Wherever possible we refer to pure three-dimensional architectural shapes.
Kreon offers timeless lighting concepts that are designed to form an integral part of architecture or to create a dialogue with a structure. The collection includes an array of downlights, uplights and sidelights which disappear into ceilings, floors and walls harmoniously. We always respect the recessed position of the lamp source, creating an emotional feeling of light and preventing an uncomfortable glare situation.
Lighting concepts are implemented at the planning stages of the design process by architects, designers and engineers.
Typical applications include residential, hospitality, retail, display and office interiors.
Sustainable LED technology
A timeless design goes hand in hand with a long term approach on our product developments. The choice for durable and recyclable materials, radiant ceiling and LED technology in lighting gives Kreon a step ahead in green building projects.
Concepts like Tenno and Nuit give ultimate tools for general lighting and office applications where customization and dynamic lighting is required.
Projectors (Diapason, Erubo,...) and down lights (Aplis, Down in-Line,...) using the latest LED technologies with extreme good values on efficiency, colour temperature and colour rendering are perfect tools for retail and hospitality where maintenance costs play a major role.

Kreon Ceiling Solutions
Metal ceilings
Ceilings usually have an indistinctive character in the space surrounding us. In daily life, as well as in architecture, they are seldom noticed. Kreon Ceiling Solutions will make these anonymous surfaces come alive.
Kreon metal ceilings aim to materialise simplicity, unity and functionality within its design.
Our ceilings offer a unique solution for the integration of building service systems that need to be accommodated in the ceiling: lighting, ventilation, cooling, heating, fire protection and much more.
Light in Kreon Ceiling Solutions is seamless and harmonious. The concept of global lighting, including wallwashers, spotlights and general lighting can be comprehensively fulfilled by Kreon’s collection of architectural luminaires.
Perforations contribute to the comfort attributes of your space. They also assist in acoustic control and can influence air circulation. Kreon offers a choice of perforations that differ in shape, pattern and size.
Custom-made integral ceiling solutions
Kreon Ceiling Solutions provides integral ceiling solutions. As a means to suit specific building requirements Kreon often offers custom-made solutions. This element gives a lot of design freedom to architects and designers.

LEED points are awarded per credit on a 100-point scale (+10 bonus points), resulting
in four levels of performance: Certified (40-49), Silver (50-59), Gold (60-79) and
Platinum (80+).
LEED
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating
System is a voluntary, evolving, consensus-based international standard for developing
high-performance, sustainable buildings, using a comprehensive, point-based system.
This LEED certification is initiated by USGBC (US Green Building Council) and is
internationally recognized. The certification confirms that a building is designed and
built to achieve a performance that surpasses national standards for energy savings,
water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, indoor environmental quality, stewardship of
resources and sensitivity to their impacts.
These topics are specified in seven main categories, with multiple points, on which the
building is evaluated.

EAc1 - Optimize energy performanceAim Assessment criteria
To achieve increasing levels of energy performance beyond the prerequisite standard
To reduce environmental and economic impacts associated with excessive energy use
• Exceeding requirements of EA prerequisite 2
• Energy modelling study required
Kreon Solutions
Energy efficiency is an important issue in today’s society. Kreon Tools of Light can play an important role in achieving up to 7 points with the use of high efficiency LEDs and a high lumen/watt ratio. Additional points can be obtained with the use of our energy efficient HVAC installations, in combination with a mineral wool inlay. An energy modelling study is required to achieve these LEED points.

IEQc2 - Increased ventilationAim Assessment criteria
To provide additional outdoor air ventilation to improve air quality and promote comfort, well-being and productivity
• Provision of ventilation system exceeding air flow rates of ASHRAE standard
• Provision of ventilation system complying with requirements of CIBSE standard
• Exceeding IEQ prerequisite 1
• Ventilation design study required
Kreon Solutions
Air is an essential element of life, a basic requirement that is often translated into a purely technical solution. Kreon guards against this and sees it as a challenge to treat freshening of air and oxygen as a valuable architectural detail, providing a noiseless, draught-free and aesthetical solution. With our ventilation systems, the air volume can be increased by at least 30% compared to the ASHRAE standard. This increase can result in one LEED point. An excellent dimension of the ventilation system is necessary. Our in-house consultancy team can assist you with this.

• Additional point to IEQc7.1
• Installation of permanent monitoring system to analyse comfort parameters
• Thermal comfort survey for occupants
Kreon Solutions
Kreons chilled ceilings (Kreon Clima) firmly oppose to traditional air-conditioning in which cold air is delivered in an extremely large quantity, leading users to a very uncomfortable feeling and to excessively cool down. Instead, Clima systems can generate a healthy and comfortable climate within the room. The heat exchange between tile and environment mainly occurs by radiation, keeping draught and noise levels to a minimum. The use of water to transport heat in and out of the occupied space is an extremely efficient technique, since the capacity of water to transport heat is 20x higher than air.The Vento linear air diffuser is of a highly inductive ventilation element. It provides draught-free and diffuse ventilation with minimum airflow, ensuring a perfect mixture of supply and ambient air. Furthermore, Kreon ceilings and ventilation can be equipped with a mineral wool inlay, providing thermal insulation to avoid unwanted temperature swings. All Kreon ventilation systems you opt for, can help you to achieve two LEED points.

Kreon can help you to achieve LEED points.
Using Kreon Tools of Light and Kreon Ceiling Solutions, in combination with other
building components, up to 19 LEED points can be achieved.
The feasibility to obtain these points were analyzed and confirmed by an independent
and qualified expert engineering company, ENCON, specialized in optimizing energy
consumption.
To assist you in achieving these points, Kreon can help you to select the most
appropriate solutions for your project and provide you with the necessary documents,
required for the LEED assessment. This will include the general documents and
certificates, but also project specific information, all to increase your LEED score.
