Activities
Friday, September 15 Movie Night featuring Jurassic Park, then other movies. There will be popcorn for cracker barrel! Unit leaders and SPL are encouraged to attend the Unit leader/SPL meeting on the same night at 8:00pm where we will discuss the details of the program.
Saturday, September 16
There will be patrol activities from 8:30am to 11:30am and then 1:00pm to 3:00pm. The following activities are: Troop 164 – Hunger Games Archery
Demonstrate your archery abilities to the judges from the Capitol. May the odds be ever in your favor!
Troop 164 - Jurassic Park Dinosaur Escape
One Scout from your Patrol is injured and cannot run. Help your whole party escape the T-Rex by
ADMIT ONE
KOMOHANA
constructing an A-frame and carrying your injured Scout to safety. Troop 664 – Movie Jeopardy
The game is called Movie Jeopardy and it is based off of the TV show "Jeopardy!" There will be a poster
board with the title "Movie Jeopardy" on the top, and the five categories listed below the title are the five
different movies: "Karate Kid Original," "Battleship," "Hunger Games," "Jurassic World," and "Harry Potter
and the Goblet of Fire." Most of the movies were chosen because they were filmed at Kualoa Ranch.
Patrols will be split into groups of 5. These teams will compete against each other. The goal of the game is to end with the most money. The team with the most money will get a candy prize. Troop 32 – Isla Nublar Rescue
One of your team members went missing yesterday on Isla Nublar. We only have a 40 minute window to
find him and return to the evacuation point as the gates to the vicious and intelligent Indominus rex have
failed and it could be headed this way. We suspect your team member may be hurt, so you may want to
take some medical supplies with you (shown a pile of misc gear, like walking sticks, shreds of cloth,
bandages, splint, etc). Keep your voices low as velociraptors may be attracted to human presence.
A Scout will be hurt with "gashes" on his arm and a broken leg after a viscous raptor attack left him barely
alive. He's in and out of consciousness and definitely scared after hiding being attacked by raptors
throughout the night. Scouts will be graded on their ability to keep their voices low, evaluating the casualty, stopping the bleeding, splinting the possible broken leg, improvising a stretcher, and not dropped victim all within the
40 min. Fastest time should be the discriminator between all teams that get a perfect score. Subtract
points for noisy teams, failure to splint or stop bleeding, or dropping the victim in the stretcher. Scouts are
allowed to go back to the pile of gear if they didn't grab what they needed. Troop 75 – BB-8 Robot Obstacle Course
A Star Wars themed obstacle course. You will be allowed a specified time to navigate through the
obstacle course. Best time wins.
Troop 76 – Jurassic Park T Rex Terror Tomahawk Throwing Camporee Staff – Movie Shooting
Units will be given time to come up with and rehearse skits or songs. They will be judged based on creativity and dramatic acting. Thanks to all the units and staff that volunteered to run these events! Kualoa Ranch Hike Tour We will explore some of the movie scenes that were filmed at Kualoa Ranch. Campfire/Awards and Closing Ceremony/OA Call Out Ceremony
Units are encouraged to stay for the closing campfire as that is when the awards will be presented. We will also have a call out ceremony for Ordeal candidates who have been elected this year in their unit. Please let Elliott Park know if you have any candidates that want to be called out. Unit Election Report forms must be provided for evidence. OA Ice Cream Social All Arrowmen are encouraged to stay for the OA ice cream social on Saturday night for fellowship. Make sure to wear your sash then. Ordeal candidates who have been called out will also get to join us as we fill them in on their next steps.
