Dear Parishioners,

Happy Father’s Day to all of our dads! Thank you for your yes to striving to be the best father that you can be, the father that you are called to be to your children.

Our Keep on Rollin’ event last Saturday night was a great success! Best ever! The whole concept had a special twist this year. We began in the Grade School Auditorium with hors d’oeuvres, drinks, silent auction and music. Then we were entertained by our grade school kids with singing and even a few Hamilton skits by our very talented 7th graders. Then we moved outside to an awesome set up and sit down dinner under the stars, complete with music provided by Adan Fernandez, David Castillo, Belen Pachatlyan and others. Finally we presented awards to our outstanding honorees: Tony and Lina Camcam, Steve Benedict and Deacon Ron and Patti Baker. The lighting was awesome and the dessert area was extraordinary.

I want to take this opportunity to thank a number of VIPs who were instrumental in making this event happen for our parish. Thanks, first of all, to our Keep on Rollin 2018 chair, Diane Hernandez. Whoa! Poor gal handled quite a lot! The team really stepped up to the plate in serving our parish in this important endeavor. Their sacrifices and leadership are inspirational. Thank you to our Core Committee Members: Steve Benedict, Sonia Calleja, Imelda Candido, Paul Capili, Toto Mortel, Faith Parducho and Emily Romeo.

Special thanks also to Cherry Pastores, Cecile Nouh, Dr. Fidela Suelto, Sheila Arasawa, Mark Geraci, the Church Environment Ministry, the Greeter & Hospitality Ministry, the Holy Family Grade School PTO, Life Teen, Women’s Bible Study, the Our Lady Queen of Angels Rosary Group, Knights of Columbus, all of the porters of our parish business office and all the ministries who helped to sell the raffle tickets! To those of you who attended and/or purchased raffle tickets, thanks a million for your support of YOUR parish!!

Please note: both schools have been out! Summer school is in session at both of our schools. Please note that both summer school programs are CO-ED. Even though our high school is all girls, summer school is co-ed. The Grade School program has been lengthened to six weeks (instead of four) due to popular demand.

Travelling this summer? Check out masstimes.org for information on Masses while away. Don’t miss the Holy Eucharist! While travelling, please consider continuing to support your parish.

Summer Blessings –

Fr. Jim Bevacqua, Pastor 818-247-2222 x225 [email protected]

Registration for Religious Education for the school year that begins Sunday, September 23, 2018 is now open to all children from grades 1 to 5. Formal religious instruction begins when the child enters Kindergarten and continues throughout the years. For this reason we are offering a class for Early Childhood ages 3-4 and 5 year olds (Little Church).

For children who have already celebrated their First Holy Communion, we offer a Post Communion class. Faith formation is a lifelong process of learning about God’s love for us and does not end with the reception of First Communion.

You may register at our office: 400 S. Louise St. (Monday through Thursday) from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You may also register at the Church office: 209 East Lomita Avenue.

Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co., Inc.
