SVDP BENEFIT RUMMAGE SALE

Will be held in the Activity Center on: Thursday, June 29, 8:30 am - 6:30 pm Friday, June 30, 8:30 am - 6:30 pm Saturday, July 1, 8:30 - Noon

Saturday is “Bag Day,” everything you can get in a brown paper bag for a great bargain price!

All proceeds go to help low income families in our area.

We will take donations on: Sunday, June 25, 10:30 am - 1:30 pm. Monday, June 26, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Tuesday, June 27, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Regrettably we cannot accept TV’s, computers or non-working appliances. We accept gently used furniture, clothes, household items, books, etc.

Large items can be picked up by appointment but not until June 26 & 27. Call Lonnie or Joyce before then to arrange 456-8574.

Help needed: Extra volunteers are needed to help sort and price items. Come to the Activity Center anytime that week to help.

Safe Environment Program Compliance: Anyone who works with or volunteers with chil-dren must be compliant with the Safe Environ-ment Program of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis set forth by the USCCB. (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops). Compliance includes attending a Protecting God’s Children Workshop, completing a Worker Registration Form to obtain a background check, and reading and signing a Code of Ethical Con-duct. Each location must have copies of individual background checks & code of ethics forms on file for all active volunteers and employees. Additional back-ground checks may be necessary if you have lived out of state in previous years.

Veterans will be the focus of a patriotic concert in the beautiful St. Vincent de Paul Chap-el of the Cardinal Rigali Center on June 30th. In association with the Knights of Columbus, St. Louis Assembly 565 Fourth Degree. Soprano

Christine Westhoff will also be marking the release of her new CD, Glory Hallelujah, a selection of patriotic hymns and songs, together with organist, Timothy Al-len.

The concert on June 30th will begin at 7:00pm. Cardinal Rigali Center, 20 Archbishop May Drive, St. Louis, MO 63119.

Admission to the concert is free with free-will dona-tions going to the VA Medical Center at Jefferson Bar-racks.

Registration Dates for 2017-2018: Sunday, August 6, 2017, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and Saturday, August 12, 2017, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Registration fees for next year will increase by $5.00 per student. Students who will be receiving a sacrament must be enrolled the year before and the year they receive the sacrament and students need to be enrolled from the beginning of the year in order for the year to count. Students who attend first grade in 2017-18 will be eligible to receive the Sacraments of Penance and Eucharist in the second grade. To receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the 8th grade, students must attend 7th grade classes the year prior.
