Flexibilities on admission selection are available as follows:

1. Individual schemes / programmes will accept one relevant AppliedLearning (ApL) subject for meeting the entrance requirements. Anattainment at Attained with Distinction (I) level or above / Attained withDistinction (obtained in 2017 or before) is required.

2. Other Language subjects (i.e. Category C) offered in the HKDSEExamination will be accepted as elective subjects. Grade E or above isrequired.

3. If students have taken both M1 and M2, they will only be considered asone subject and the best grade will be taken into consideration duringadmission selection.

4. Students endorsed by schools for meeting EDB’s specifiedcircumstances and having achieved the required grade in Chinese inone of the following examinations will be regarded as obtaining a Level 3in HKDSE Chinese for meeting our entrance requirements:Exam Exam Level Level Min. 6. There is no compulsory subject requirement for our schemes /programmes. Preferred subjects, if applicable, are listed in the 'EntranceRequirements & Subject Weightings' section of individual scheme /programme entries. Satisfactory performance in preferred subjects willhave a positive influence on admission selection. However, applicantswho have not taken the preferred subjects will still be considered foradmission but they may need to take relevant underpinning subjectsafter admission to PolyU.

7. For admission to Scheme in Nursing, the BSc (Hons) in Nursing and BSc(Hons) in Mental Health Nursing, students must have Level 3 or abovein at least two HKDSE elective subjects from Category A. Please clickhere for details of the HKDSE subject categories.

8. The study places offered by PolyU through JUPAS are intended primarilyfor admission of local school leavers. Applicants who are studying ascheme / programme or have attained qualifications at the same orat the same oraboveabove level aslevel as the schemes / programmes for which they are applyingwill be considered on a case-by-case basis.

9. Please note that local and non-local applicants are considered underdifferent admission routes with different intake quotas. Non-localapplicants seeking admission on the basis of HKDSE results shouldsubmit their applications directly to PolyU. Please click here for detailson the admission requirements for non-local applicants.

10. Applicants who fall short slightly on the general entrance requirements ofour schemes / programmes but meet the following conditions will bespecially considered for admission:-a) with one HKDSE subject result falling one level below the requiredlevel but attain a total score of 26 points# (subject to review) or above inthe best five subjects;b) have selected PolyU’s schemes / programmes as their Band Achoices i.e. first 3 priorities, in JUPAS; andc) passed an admission interview.

11. The flexibility for special consideration for admission is extended tosports talents under the Outstanding Sportsmen RecommendationSchemes (OSRS). Conditional offers with more favourable conditionswill be issued to the applicants concerned.

This programme provides students with a well-rounded business education andtraining in general management, along with the opportunity to specialise in humanresource management. Students are equipped with a wide range of managementskills, giving them the potential to become business leaders in Hong Kong, in theChinese mainland and the region.

BBA (Hons) in MarketingBBA (Hons) in MarketingThis programme provides students with a well-rounded business education,centred on marketing. All students within the Faculty of Business are encouraged to participate in a rangeof extracurricular activities, such as leadership training camps, peer tutoring, andmentorship.

Receiver of the unconditional offer for placementwould be notified of this message in the Notice of Offer at JUPUS Main Round offerresult announcement.

The remaining percentage (approximately 60%) of JUPAS and non-JUPASadmittees would indicate their preferred programmes / majors within the Scheme,and shall be ranked by their academic performance in term of overall GPA scoresachieved after one year of study to determine the allocation of their preferredprogrammes / majors to join in the second year of study.

Offered non-JUPAS applicants who are eligible for an unconditional offer forplacement to their preferred programmes / majors within the Scheme after one yearof study would be informed of this message in the Notice of Offer as well.

The option of Secondary Major in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AIDA) isavailable to the students of BSc (Hons) Building Engineering and Management andthe other option of Secondary Major in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IE) is alsoavailable to the students of BSc (Hons) in Property Management. Short DescriptionShort Description The programme prepares students to become primary eyecare practitioners withexpert knowledge of the eye and the visual system. Students gain the knowledgeand skills necessary to diagnose visual problems and offer treatment options, whichmay be in the form of optical lenses or visual training.

The journey to becoming an eyecare practitioner begins with a strong foundation inthe basic life sciences, followed by a thorough grounding in the optometricsciences. In the second half of the programme, students acquire the clinical skillsnecessary to effectively manage a wide variety of visual problems. The fivesemesters of supervised clinical training in our Optometry Clinic and our satelliteclinics with real patients give students many opportunities to learn to care forpatients and to consolidate their clinical skills and knowledge.

Throughout the programme, students learn about ethical, professional and legalissues in preparation for clinical practice.

Short DescriptionShort Description Our programme provides a challenging and relevant education in radiography,which encompasses both medical imaging and radiation therapy.

An inquisitive and integrative approach to learning is presented in order forstudents to develop competence in clinical reasoning, professional skills and ethics.Through this, our graduates are able to foster a sense of care and responsibility forthe wider community.

Our student-centred learning approach instills independence in learning, bothacademically and as a future radiographer/radiation therapist. The capacity forlifelong learning is vital for professional development and to maintain relevance inthis dynamic field.

Applicants who fall short slightly on the general entrance requirements ofour schemes / programmes but meet the following conditions will bespecially considered for admission:-a) with one HKDSE subject result falling one level below the requiredlevel but attain a total score of 26 points# (subject to review) or above inthe best five subjects;b) have selected PolyU’s schemes / programmes as their Band Achoices i.e. first 3 priorities, in JUPAS; and
