Someday, perhaps very soon, every Christian must meet God for an investigative judgment of his entire life. This moment will be a time of jubilant

victory for some. Jesus said, He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward (Matthew 10:41). Paul adds, If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward (I Corinthians 3:14).

On the other hand, this moment will be a time of weeping for others. Paul, dealing with this hour of judgment, states in II Corinthians 5:11, Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. Terror? Yes, terror! How often Christians hilariously shout, “Praise the Lord, Jesus is coming soon!” Though His return will be

the most joyous event of the ages for some, it will also be a time of intense and immense sorrow for others. I John 2:28 declares, And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ASHAMED before him at his coming (emphasis mine).

Notice carefully that when Christ returns, all believers are summoned into His presence — both the confident and the ashamed. The confident appear before the tribunal with “good works,” whereas the ashamed have naught but “bad or no works” (II Corinthians 5:10). This fact is exceedingly important because multitudes today think that one sin can keep a child of God out of heaven. The text plainly states that the “ashamed” meet Christ at His appearing.

At the sound of the trumpet, when the dead in Christ rise first and living believers join them to meet Christ in the clouds (I Thessalonians 4:17), the

“ashamed” also enter heaven. However, the abundant entrance is reserved for those who earned it upon earth (II Peter 1:11). This text proves that the wayward go home to meet Christ though ashamed. Since one can only bear shame for error and wrongdoing, then it is dogmatically clear that the wrongdoers meet Christ at His appearing or return. I grant you that they are embarrassed and lose all of their rewards, but they are

nevertheless present at the roll call of the ages, and saved so as by fire (I Corinthians 3:25), or “by the skin of their teeth,” to use a modern-day expression.

What produces their embarrassment and humiliation as believers?

Neglected OppOrtuNities

Multitudes of God’s people could do so much more for Christ if they would. However, fleshly lusts stand in the way. When they do serve, it is often with selfish motives. Their hue and cry is, “What will I get out of this? What is in it for me?” The result? Modern Christianity has become big business. Religious performers today charge exorbitant rates. Some receive $1,000 to $10,000 for a performance. What a judgment of terror awaits these mercenary “gospel entertainers.” Though saved by fire, their works will dissolve into incinerated ashes. The wood, hay, and stubble will disintegrate because they had their reward. About-face, Christian!

Then again, there are those who have little or no time for spiritual exercises. They seldom read God’s Holy Word, seldom attend God’s house, seldom give their tithes, and never win souls. This is sin! James 4:17 states, Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. These sins of omission — failing to do God’s will — also produce remorse in that day.

Friend, if I am describing you, it is not too late to change. As long as one has the breath of life, he can decide to do the will of God. Confess your sins, seek again your first love of Christ, rekindle the flames of devotion to the Lord

Jesus immediately. Then use your opportunities to serve Him wisely. One who obeys God will not be sorry. The faithful will be rewarded a hundred-fold at the Bema Seat. Scholars calculate this to be a 10,000 percent yield!

No wonder Paul said in II Corinthians 9:6, He which soweth sparingly [meagerly] shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully [abundantly] shall reap also bountifully. One cannot outgive God at 10,000 percent interest! Galatians 6:7 often quoted to the unsaved, but directed to Christians concerning giving, states, Be not deceived; God is not mocked [or fooled]: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Christian, your heavenly mansion will only be as beautiful as you build it now. Jesus said in John 14:2, In my Father’s house are many mansions. The literal rendering should state, “In my Father’s house are numerous and differing kinds of dwelling places.” Not all mansions will be identical. Building blocks for one’s eternal home are being sent ahead from earth. Jesus said, Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19-20).

If one’s earthly treasure is piled up in stocks and bonds and banks, he has his reward here on earth. On the other hand, if the treasure is sent ahead, it awaits the believer with added and fantastic dividends. Take your choice, Christian. You can have it here for 70 years, die, and leave it for the ungodly to spend; or you may send

it ahead for eternal blessings. Hang on and lose it, or let go and retain it forever. It is up to you! (Those who support our ministry can rejoice in the knowledge of the rewards they will have in heaven, because they helped us reach 2,500,000 who made decisions for Christ through our global television programs.)

May I share a heart-moving experience with you? When Rexella and I were in Hershey, Pennsylvania, a man sitting in a wheelchair asked to speak to us. When we reached the area where he was, he began to weep, saying,

“I am an invalid, as you can see. I have multiple sclerosis and osteo-arthritis. The pain is more than I can humanly bear. In fact, my pain medication costs me $100 per month. Nevertheless, I have made a decision after much prayer. I want to give you $100 and do without this month’s medicine. I know the pain will be excruciating, but it is the least I can do for Christ who suffered such agony for me. Please take the money and use it for His glory.” Rexella and I, both in tears, replied, “We cannot accept this gift.” Again weeping audibly, the man said, “Would you deprive me of a blessing? Take it for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.”

How many thousands who have

I Corinthians 9:27, I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway [a reject for rewards]. He could not mean the loss of salvation by this term because we have already seen that the “ashamed” are present at heaven’s roll call, though saved by fire. Instead, Paul is saying, “Look, I am a red-blooded man with desires similar to others. However, I simply will not allow my flesh to control me. Instead, I constantly battle and batter my fleshly appetites into subjection. Yes, I keep my bodily appetites under control lest I lose everything I have ever earned.”

Now if this was true for Paul, it is equally true for all. In fact, Paul’s service record is unparalleled in

the history of Christendom. No one suffered as he did except the Lord Jesus Himself. Listen to the list of “good works” Paul accumulated in II Corinthians 11:23-27:

In labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of water, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

Wow! What a servant of God — beaten, battered, stoned, crushed, robbed, persecuted, hated, and starved. Surely this portfolio of earned works would bring Paul heaven’s greatest “Oscar.” It would if he remained faithful! Remember, he said as quoted earlier, “If I do not keep my body under and bring it into subjection, I myself will be

a castaway, disapproved, and rejected for heaven’s ‘Academy Awards.’ Therefore, I fight the good fight of faith — fight the world, the flesh, and the devil — so that my Savior will say to me in that day, ‘Well done, thou good and faithful servant.’”

How about YOU, Christian? If the Judgment Seat took place within the next 24 hours, would you lose some or all of your rewards? Millions are going home ashamed, embarrassed, or red-

faced!

tears iN HeaveN

The result will be intermittent weeping for 1,007 years. This is proven by studying the chronological outline of the Book of Revelation. Chapter 1, verse 19, states, Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter. One immediately notices the three tenses of the English language — past, present, and future. Chapter 1 is the past, Chapter 2 and 3 contain the present, and Chapters 4 through 22 reveal the future.

We are presently awaiting the homegoing of believers — the Rapture — which is described in Revelation 4:1 when God says, Come up hither. The seven years of Tribulation follow in Chapter 6 through 18. Christ returns to earth as King of kings and Lord of lords in Chapter 19, verses 11-16, rules the earth for 1,000 years (chapter 20:4-6), and judges the world after His millennial reign (chapter 20:11-15). Then, and only then, God finally and forever will wipe away all tears from the eyes of His children (chapter 21:4). Thus, from the Rapture call in Revelation 4:1 to the wiping away of tears in Revelation 21:4, there is intermittent and spasmodic weeping for the millennial period!

Is your foolish episode with the world that important to you? Will it be worth it all when we see Jesus? Turn from the path of sin to the path of service, and prepare for a glorious, triumphant entrance into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ and share the reign of the King of kings upon our return with Him!

a superabundance of material blessings — stocks, bonds, bank accounts, and other possessions — do nothing but “tip” God occasionally? Do you still think there will be no difference at the time rewards are given? Do you honestly believe that it will be the same for all? Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap (Galatians 6:7). We are all going home soon — either confident or ashamed. Will it be a time of victory or anguish, triumph or tears for YOU? It is not too late to make a new start.

Neglected HOliNess

There will also be tears in heaven because of neglected holiness.

There is no doubt about it. God demands that His people live holy lives. For God hath not called us to uncleanness, but unto holiness (I Thessalonians 4:7). Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling... (II Timothy 1:9). Follow peace with all men, and holiness (Hebrews 12:14). Be ye holy, for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). This means that we are not to fashion ourselves according to the former lusts (I Peter 1:14), instead, we are to abstain from fleshly lusts (I Peter 2:11) and to put on Christ and not make any provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof (Romans 13:14).

How different from the lowly standards held by many carnal church members who constantly play “musical chairs” with the

pagans of this world. These indifferent backsliders run with the world. Are they saved? God alone really knows! One thing is certain — if they are Christ’s, their double standards will be investigated. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be GOOD or BAD (II

Corinthians 5:10, emphasis mine).Oh, what weeping, what

wailing, what travail, what heartache and heartbreak as they meet Jesus face-to-face. Their entrance into God’s presence will not be “abundant” (II Peter

1:11). They shall be tremendously “ashamed” (I John 2:28). The “terror of the Lord” will be meted out in judgment (II Corinthians 5:11) and they will suffer the loss of all rewards (I Corinthians 3:15). No wonder the lukewarm are weeping. They suffer the loss of all things except their salvation.

This loss extends beyond the loss of rewards for a meaningless life. It includes losing, through foolish living, rewards previously earned during years of spiritual service! Yes, God has a system of addition and subtraction, pluses and minuses, in His bookkeeping system. Therefore, one’s accumulation of “good works” can be swiftly destroyed through disobedience.

You do not believe these statements? Here is proof: Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought [or earned], but that we receive a full reward (II John 8). God is saying, in effect, “Be careful how you live, where you go, how you serve, if you want a full reward.”

Again, hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown (Revelation 3:11). In simpler terminology, God is saying, “Hang on to your earned crowns and do not let anyone entice you, mislead you, drag you down, or destroy the good works you have accumulated or you will suffer loss.” Paul, led by the Holy Spirit, also declares in

I Corinthians 9:27, I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway [a reject for rewards]. He could not mean the loss of salvation by this term because we have already seen that the “ashamed” are present at heaven’s roll call, though saved by fire. Instead, Paul is saying, “Look, I am a red-blooded man with desires similar to others. However, I simply will not allow my flesh to control me. Instead, I constantly battle and batter my fleshly appetites into subjection. Yes, I keep my bodily appetites under control lest I lose everything I have ever earned.”

Now if this was true for Paul, it is equally true for all. In fact, Paul’s service record is unparalleled in

the history of Christendom. No one suffered as he did except the Lord Jesus Himself. Listen to the list of “good works” Paul accumulated in II Corinthians 11:23-27:

In labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of water, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

Wow! What a servant of God — beaten, battered, stoned, crushed, robbed, persecuted, hated, and starved. Surely this portfolio of earned works would bring Paul heaven’s greatest “Oscar.” It would if he remained faithful! Remember, he said as quoted earlier, “If I do not keep my body under and bring it into subjection, I myself will be

a castaway, disapproved, and rejected for heaven’s ‘Academy Awards.’ Therefore, I fight the good fight of faith — fight the world, the flesh, and the devil — so that my Savior will say to me in that day, ‘Well done, thou good and faithful servant.’”

How about YOU, Christian? If the Judgment Seat took place within the next 24 hours, would you lose some or all of your rewards? Millions are going home ashamed, embarrassed, or red-

faced!

tears iN HeaveN

The result will be intermittent weeping for 1,007 years. This is proven by studying the chronological outline of the Book of Revelation. Chapter 1, verse 19, states, Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter. One immediately notices the three tenses of the English language — past, present, and future. Chapter 1 is the past, Chapter 2 and 3 contain the present, and Chapters 4 through 22 reveal the future.

We are presently awaiting the homegoing of believers — the Rapture — which is described in Revelation 4:1 when God says, Come up hither. The seven years of Tribulation follow in Chapter 6 through 18. Christ returns to earth as King of kings and Lord of lords in Chapter 19, verses 11-16, rules the earth for 1,000 years (chapter 20:4-6), and judges the world after His millennial reign (chapter 20:11-15). Then, and only then, God finally and forever will wipe away all tears from the eyes of His children (chapter 21:4). Thus, from the Rapture call in Revelation 4:1 to the wiping away of tears in Revelation 21:4, there is intermittent and spasmodic weeping for the millennial period!

Is your foolish episode with the world that important to you? Will it be worth it all when we see Jesus? Turn from the path of sin to the path of service, and prepare for a glorious, triumphant entrance into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ and share the reign of the King of kings upon our return with Him!

a superabundance of material blessings — stocks, bonds, bank accounts, and other possessions — do nothing but “tip” God occasionally? Do you still think there will be no difference at the time rewards are given? Do you honestly believe that it will be the same for all? Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap (Galatians 6:7). We are all going home soon — either confident or ashamed. Will it be a time of victory or anguish, triumph or tears for YOU? It is not too late to make a new start.

Neglected HOliNess

There will also be tears in heaven because of neglected holiness.

There is no doubt about it. God demands that His people live holy lives. For God hath not called us to uncleanness, but unto holiness (I Thessalonians 4:7). Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling... (II Timothy 1:9). Follow peace with all men, and holiness (Hebrews 12:14). Be ye holy, for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). This means that we are not to fashion ourselves according to the former lusts (I Peter 1:14), instead, we are to abstain from fleshly lusts (I Peter 2:11) and to put on Christ and not make any provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof (Romans 13:14).

How different from the lowly standards held by many carnal church members who constantly play “musical chairs” with the

pagans of this world. These indifferent backsliders run with the world. Are they saved? God alone really knows! One thing is certain — if they are Christ’s, their double standards will be investigated. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be GOOD or BAD (II

Corinthians 5:10, emphasis mine).Oh, what weeping, what

again in Galatians 1:6-9 he states: I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you

than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Jesus Himself said: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves (Matthew 7:15).

Brother Wilkerson again states:

I tremble when I read in the Scriptures that in the last days Satan is going to come right into the church posing as an angel of light. He’s going to take ministers who, at one time, had the touch of God, and he’s going to transform them into angels of light to become his tool of

deception. That’s frightening. It causes me to fall on my face before God for such false, deceitful workers (who

are) transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

In referring to II Corinthians 11:13-15 which states: For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. [Marvel not] for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed [into] ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. The Lord Jesus Himself stated in Matthew 7:21-23: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then [Jesus] will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

What a sobering statement that

is — I never knew you: depart from me. There will be many who stand before the Lord on Judgment Day thinking that they have it made. They have done all of these wonderful things in the name of the Lord, they have created huge mega-churches, preached before multiplied thousands of people, but it was all done in their own power and for their own glory. And the end result will be that they hear Him say, depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Brother Wilkerson then points out three things he saw in the gospel of accommodation.

1 — It is the accommodation of man’s love for pleasure.2 — The gospel of accommodation accommodates all man’s aversions to self-denial.3 — There is an accommodation of man’s offense to the gospel.

“Man’s love for pleasure” — the Bible very specifically warns of this. Paul wrote to Timothy: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,

incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (II Timothy 3:1-5). Then just one chapter later he says: I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables (II Timothy 4:1-4).

We live in a hedonistic, pleasure-driven world; and sadly, this has spilled over into the Church. There is no call for holy living, instead it is, “Eat, Drink, and Be Merry” — after all, “Love Wins,” and everyone goes to heaven, right? Baloney!

What was Brother Wilkerson’s second observation? “This gospel of accommodation accommodates all man’s aversion to self-denial.”

When Isaiah, as a prophet of the Lord, cried, “Woe is me! for I am undone” (Isaiah 6:5), he was pronouncing the judgment of God upon himself. To be undone means to come apart at the seams, to become unraveled; literally to disintegrate. In that one instance, he caught a glimpse of a Holy God and his self-esteem was shattered. He knew that there was no way he could measure up to the standards of God.

The third thing that Brother Wilkerson noticed about the gospel of accommodation is that there

is an accommodation of man’s offense to the gospel.

The Bible clearly states that the Gospel and the cross are offensive. Peter states that Christ is a “stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense” (I Peter 2:8). Paul spoke often of the offense of the cross. He gloried in the fact that he was “crucified with Christ” (Galatians 2:20). He called those who watered down the Gospel “enemies of the cross of Christ” (Philippians 4:18).

To quote Brother Wilkerson again:

I listened in horror to a man, who attended one of the largest seeker-friendly churches, being interviewed by CBS. He said, “I come to this church because I’m comfortable. I’m never made to feel uneasy. I bring my Jewish friends and my business friends, and I know nothing will ever be said that will offend them. The best part of it is, the whole thing only lasts an hour.”

Oh yes, we must not make people feel uneasy — we must not point out their sin. To which I say again, “Baloney!”

On July 8, 1741, Jonathan Edwards preached a sermon entitled “Sinners in the Hand of an Angry God,” with the theme that there is nothing that keeps wicked men at any one moment out of hell, but the mere pleasure of God. He was interrupted many times during the sermon by the people moaning and crying out, “What shall I do to be saved?” There are also reports of people in the congregation clinging to the support posts and pillars of the church lest the ground

opened up beneath them and they plummeted into hell. That is the type of message that needs to be preached today.

I agree with Brother Wilkerson as he said: “I’m not about to put up a silly skit and preach a 15-minute message on how to cope to a multitude of people who are dying and going to hell. I tremble at the thought.”

Oh, that there were more ministers like this.

I want to close this article with one more quote from Brother Wilkerson:

May we get our eyes off growth and onto a new

revelation of who Jesus is.”

Remembering is a wonderful thing. It is the means the Lord has provided for us to relive and enjoy anew the special experiences, people, and blessings He sends into our lives. Remembering can fill us with joy over and over again as we recall and give thanks for what God has done.

As a child, I loved to get my dad or mom started by recalling special stories from their childhood. I’d sit in rapt fascination as my parents remembered simple, down-to earth stories about life and living in their generation — how things were different, and yet how things are still the same. I truly learned so much from their memories.

Remembering the good things — the important values of life — is tremendously important. It is especially essential for us to remember the work of God in our lives.

I started singing when I was

five years old, and one of the first songs Mother taught me was a wonderful message wrapped up in a lovely melody. It said — “Count your blessings, name them one by

one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.”

One reason that song was so powerful is that it caused one to stop and remember! God is so good to us. In fact, some of my childhood friends used to change the words of that song a bit to say, “Count your blessings, weigh them ton by ton.”

Have you been blessed? Has God smiled upon you and your loved ones? Remember ... and be thankful.

Remember, too, the instructions and directions of the Lord. For example, God’s Word says in Galatians 2:10: remember the poor. We are to remember those in affliction — and minister to them of our means, encouraging them and lifting them up. I’ve found that reaching out to bless others comes almost naturally IF we first remember what God has done for us. Jesus said, freely ye have received, freely give (Matthew 10:8).

I love the beautiful words of the psalmist David: I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I

will remember thy wonders of old (Psalm 77:11). Throughout the rest of his song, David gave thanks and praise to God as he remembered who He was and what He had done. He recalled that God is the Maker of all things, including such wonders as the waters, the sky and the clouds, the lightning and thunder. How great and

wonderful is our God!

Remember to forget

Certainly it is good for us to

remember certain specific events and blessings and the great things about God. But there are also times in our lives when we must remember to forget! Hear the thrilling words of Paul: Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14). What are we to forget? Things of the past! Things like faults, failures, mistakes — things that would hinder or discourage us in pushing forward to fulfill God’s calling for our lives. Forgetting doesn’t mean that yesterday’s mistakes didn’t happen — that they’re not a part of history. In this context, forgetting means not allowing the past to negatively impact the present. To remember yesterday’s sins that Christ has forgiven is to carry a burdensome weight that hinders our efforts and slows us down.

Paul said, in effect: Forget the sins and failures of the past. Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily bests us, and run with patience the race that is before us (see Hebrews 12:1).

Do you suppose the sin that so easily trips us up could be the heaviness of remembering the past? It seems to me that so many people cripple themselves and make their efforts ineffective by allowing memories of the past to make them bitter. One thing is for sure — if we are brooding over the past, we cannot be pressing on to attain the prize of Christ’s high calling in our lives.

Why should we keep dragging up the sins and failures of the past? Christ doesn’t. Once He has forgiven us, He forgets

our transgressions and never remembers them again!

Read — and remember — God’s remarkable promise in Hebrews 8:12 — For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more.

The Bible is filled with examples of things that God does for us, but this is one thing He refuses to do: He will not recall the sins of the past! The record of all those shameful, hurtful, sinful deeds is no longer on the books. It has been washed away by the blood of Jesus.

Perhaps you’re saying, “But Rexella, how can I expect Him to keep on forgiving me when I come back again and again — 10 times ... 11 — with the same failure, the same sin?”

If you have honestly confessed that sin to the Lord and accepted His forgiveness, forget it! Why? Because He also remembers to FORGET your sin. He wills not to recall it. And if He will not, why should you? I love this saying that Jack shared on our program recently: When we confess our

sins, God takes them and buries them in the depths of the sea

and puts up a “NO FISHING ALLOWED” sign.

What a great weight you can lay aside! Never again do you need to agonize over the lie you told, the angry outburst, the date with a sweetheart in which you allowed things to go too far, the jealousies, the broken promises — whatever haunts your memories. Remember to forget the sins of the past. Once you have accepted Christ’s forgiveness, the past can be forgotten forever.

Start a brand-new year with a brand-new record

Starting a new year is one of my favorite things. It always seems to me that each January is a fresh start, a new opportunity, a clean slate. And I look forward to it with faith and joy.

Of course I’m aware that crossing this new threshold takes me into the unknown. I’ve never been there before. I don’t know what to expect or what lies ahead. Will Jesus come back this year? Will death strike a loved one? Will I face unseen hardships or unexpected blessings? In the words of an old Gospel song — “Many things about tomorrow I don’t seem to understand, but I know Who holds tomorrow, and I know Who holds my hand.” God knows what is ahead, and He is walking by my side. He is with me ... and with you.

So we can walk boldly into the new year, not with trepidation or dread, but with glorious expectancy. We can choose not to allow the ghosts of the past to haunt us in this new year. Because He remembers our sins no more. Remember: when the Lord speaks this year, it will not be with a voice of accusation.

Yet, we have the assurance that God remembers us — He knows who we are, where we are, and what we’re going through. He never forgets us in times of need, but comes to us

just when we need Him most.What more can we ask than

the assurance that comes from remembering the good things and the unfailing promises of God? And what an exciting challenge to start a brand-new year with a fresh, clean record! Something inside me tells me that 2012 is going to be a year to remember!

So begin this month, this week — this day! — expecting good things from the Lord. His will for

you is GOOD. Remember to let God be your guide in 2012, and it will, indeed, be a Happy New Year.

I just saw Rexella sing for the very first time. What a beautiful voice. It moved me to tears. And it was so touching to see Dr. Van Impe moved to tears too.

Thank you for all you do. You are both wonderful people.

WorldNetDaily.com reports: “About half of all the pastors in America’s churches today do not want to tell their congregations that there are forces in the world that persecute Christians for their beliefs, because it’s a ‘downer,’ according to the results of a startling new poll.

The Barna Research Associates survey, commissioned by Open Doors USA, says a significant majority of American Christians, some three out of four, want to hear about the persecuted church.

But the same study showed that 52 percent of America’s pastors don’t want to talk about persecution and have no plans to talk about it.

In the nationwide poll of more than 800 Christians, 74 percent of America’s churchgoers want to hear about the persecuted church.

But the same survey said only 48 percent of the pastors want to discuss the issue.

Open Doors President Carl Moeller says the survey shows that American Christians are not isolationists.

‘Much of what we’ve been hearing from people and in my experience of speaking with people all over the country would indicate that American Christians really want to know what’s happening to their brothers and sisters in Christ all around the

world, particularly those that are suffering for their faith in Christ,’ Moeller said....” (God forgive these spineless, jellyfish, carnal ministers who stand for nothing. Revelation 3:15-19 describes them. Verse 19: “Repent!”)

ISRAEL TEST-FIRES MISSILE AS IRAN DEBATE RAGES

Reuters reports: “Israel test-fired a missile from a military base two days after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned of the ‘direct and heavy threat’ posed by Iran’s nuclear program.

The noon launch near Tel Aviv, which had not been announced in advance, coincided with a week-long surge of speculation

in local media that Netanyahu was working to secure cabinet consensus for an attack on Israel’s arch-foe.

Netanyahu’s office declined comment on the reports, which were unsourced and unconfirmed, and which some commentators suggested might be disinformation designed to jolt war-wary foreign powers into stepping up sanctions against Tehran.

The Defense Ministry described the launch from Palmachim base as the test of the propulsion system of a missile on which it declined to elaborate.

PERSECUTED CHRISTIAN?

WorldNetDaily.com reports: “About half of all the pastors in America’s churches today do not want to tell their congregations that there are forces in the world that persecute Christians for their beliefs, because it’s a ‘downer,’ according to the results of a startling new poll.

The Barna Research Associates survey, commissioned by Open Doors USA, says a significant majority of American Christians, some three out of four, want to hear about the persecuted church.

But the same study showed that 52 percent of America’s pastors don’t want to talk about persecution and have no plans to talk about it.

In the nationwide poll of more than 800 Christians, 74 percent of America’s churchgoers want to hear about the persecuted church.

But the same survey said only 48 percent of the pastors want to discuss the issue.

Open Doors President Carl Moeller says the survey shows that American Christians are not isolationists.

‘Much of what we’ve been hearing from people and in my experience of speaking with people all over the country would indicate that American Christians really want to know what’s happening to their brothers and sisters in Christ all around the

world, particularly those that are suffering for their faith in Christ,’ Moeller said....” (God forgive these spineless, jellyfish, carnal ministers who stand for nothing. Revelation 3:15-19 describes them. Verse 19: “Repent!”)

ISRAEL TEST-FIRES MISSILE AS IRAN DEBATE RAGES

Reuters reports: “Israel test-fired a missile from a military base two days after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned of the ‘direct and heavy threat’ posed by Iran’s nuclear program.

The noon launch near Tel Aviv, which had not been announced in advance, coincided with a week-long surge of speculation

in local media that Netanyahu was working to secure cabinet consensus for an attack on Israel’s arch-foe.

Netanyahu’s office declined comment on the reports, which were unsourced and unconfirmed, and which some commentators suggested might be disinformation designed to jolt war-wary foreign powers into stepping up sanctions against Tehran.

The Defense Ministry described the launch from Palmachim base as the test of the propulsion system of a missile on which it declined to elaborate.

‘This is an impressive technological achievement and an important step in Israel’s advances in the realms of missiles and space, which has been a long time in the planning,’ Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in a statement.

Israel Radio’s military affairs correspondent, who is regularly briefed by top officials on Defense matters, said a ‘ballistic missile’ had been launched. look forward to watching it.After all the years of faithful

broadcasting prophecy on TBN, I was very displeased to hear about how they treated you. What a shame that they would be disappointed and offended with your determination to expose the devil and his deeds (may God help us!). There are many programs broadcasted on TBN today that

aren’t even godly, in my opinion, but they’re still contracted with TBN. Your broadcast is Bible-based and truth. There are way too many spiritual wimps! Yes — wimps!

Unfortunately, our leaders are compromising the faith, and because of this, many, many will be lost. A lot of the mega-churches (not all) are a part of this seeker-friendly movement, and therefore support each other. The Bible says, How can two walk together, except they agree?
