management

Aruba Networks, a network access solutions company has launched its latest software under

the brand name Aruba WorkSpace. The solution is a part of the company’s ClearPass AccessManagement System in India. With the launch of this solution the company is now keen on

providing a holistic package designed to facilitate BYOD management. The new solution will

primarily comprise of Network Access Control, Mobile Device Management and MobileApplication Management.

The solution has been designed to provide maximum network fluency and optimize data

access on networks. It basically runs on an enterprise network policy system which looksafter maintaining a smooth network fluency. With the aide of this solution work applications

can be assigned in accordance to its priority. In case of accessing an untrusted network, thesolution can establish an application specific VPNs so as to encrypt traffic and facilitate

seamless access to internal resources.

News Update

General HP unveiled SDN fabric for cloud computing

HP has recently unveiled its data centre network fabric, based upon its FlexNetwork architecture, which enables business agility for clients. The solution primarily offers upto

twice the scalability and 75% reduction in network fabrics and simultaneously reducing the

network provisioning time from months to minutes.

The idea behind this solution is to utilize software defined network (SDN) data center

switches and deliver advanced automation features, higher scalability. The solution isexpected to provide instant access to applications and services and offer high quality user

experience. Furthermore, the solution will also help in reducing network complexity by a

large extent.

Jet Airways

selects

IBM

for

advanced

analytics

Jet Airways, one of the leading carriers in India has selected IBM to provide a comprehensive

solution for its customer contact centre operations, which will be equipped with advancedanalytics capabilities. Furthermore, under the contract Jet Airways will also undergo an ITinfrastructure refresh.

As of now, IBM will primarily provide contact center and back offices service for about 11

LoBs (Lines of Businesses) including both domestic and international reservations, Jet




Privilege Program, cargo, re‐issues, refunds and helpdesk services. Together with aninteractive voice response system and advanced analytics, this solution package from the

house of IBM is expected to provide a boost to the revenue generation in the ensuing years.

Hungama implements new platform solution to deliver value added services Hungama Digital Media Entertainment, one of the leading media content distributors in the

country has selected Red Hat Enterprise Linux and JBoss Middleware. The idea behind this

move is to bring down the total cost of ownership. The latest solution includes Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform and an open source,

asynchronous high performance messaging system.

Prior to the installation of the new solution, the company faced issues regarding its

middleware wherein the middleware was unable to cater to the rising demands and

continual growth in services. As a result of which, the Hungama Digital Media was lagging in

terms of scalability and customer services for mobile consumers.

SPARC SuperCluster T5-8 launched in India Oracle has announced the launch of its SuperCluster T5‐8 for the Indian market. The

company claims the system to be the fastest engineered system which comes with pre‐

integrated Oracle servers, storage, networking and software technologies. The solution isbased on one of the fastest database servers in the globe, ultra fast database storage &

microprocessor. With all these features packed into one single solution, it is expected to

deliver extreme performance as compared to its price.

As of now, the company is targeting the telecommunications, financial services, government,

retail, manufacturing, education and healthcare verticals with the help of T5‐8. Additionally,the company will also offer its platinum services which will look after the optimization of

customer’s technology investments. Some of the key features of the platinum services include

5 minute issue response, 15 minute restoration or escalation to development, 30 minute

joint debugging, 24/7 monitoring, quarterly patching and system updates and proactiveservices to anticipate, identify and remediate issues.

HP expands its cloud professional services suite HP, the IT giant has announced the expansion of its cloud professional suite in India. The new

solution is designed to enable customers to optimize traditional and cloud deployment models for any workload, while maximizing return on IT investments.

HP converged cloud support primarily includes services that monitor SLAs to ensure a

seamless user experience, reduce downtime and boost the performance. Additionally thecompany will also provide advisory services to assess and map critical and non critical

workloads to ensure workloads are run on the most effective platform.




Cisco broadens its cloud network services portfolio Cisco has recently integrated its Citrix NetScaler application delivery controller (ADC)

technology into Cisco Unified Fabric Cloud Network Services Portfolio. With the addition of

this technology, Cisco has strategically strengthened its position to delivery superiornetwork service provisioning and performance. As of now, the solution will be sold throughCisco and its channel partners globally.

Primarily, the joint solution will include features such as true cloud service automation,speeding up of service deployment and a simplified network service.

Ramco launches HCM on cloud Ramco Systems, an enterprise software manufacturer announced the launch of its HR &

Talent management solution ‘Ramco Human Capital Management (HCM)’ on cloud. The

solution comes equipped with the indigenously developed ‘Minnal’, an in‐memory engine

which is capable of boosting processing speed by 100 times.

The solution has been designed to cater to almost all aspects of employee lifecycle within anorganization. Some of the key modules included in the solution comprises of workforce

management, recruitment, talent management, employee development, workforce planning,

payroll & benefits. Furthermore, with the addition of Minnal, the solution will be capable of providing a faster solution for planning, scheduling, optimization and batch processing.

This year over 20% attacks we analyzed were targeted – Wade Baker , Managing Principal, Verizon Risk Team and the author of Verizon’s Data Breach Investigation Report (DBIR) "Some interesting things came out in our DBIR report. About 52% of all breaches we studied,

used the one‐two combo of hacking and malware. While this percentage is lower than last year, it still cannot be ignored. Also, a whopping 76% of network intrusions exploited weak

or stolen credentials. The proportion of breaches incorporating social tactics like phishing

was four times higher in 2012. We can credit the rise of this challenger to its widespread usein targeted espionage campaigns.

About 75% intrusions that we analyzed were driven by financial motives and more and more

attacks (71%) targeted user devices to get entry into the organization.In most cases, its thethird parties that unearth a breach and in many cases, its revealed months later.”

announced BYOD and it is a commercial success by HP and its partners.”
