Is academic cheating out of control???

vice chancellors of five different universities

50 teachers from different schools, colleges and universities

200 students from different schools, colleges and universities of different provinces.

To find the answer we conducted a survey. In our survey we interviewed:

100% of the heads of institutions said that cheating is not out of control and they have controlled cheating in their respective institutions.

92% of university teachers said that it’s not out of control and 8% of them said that it is impossible to control until and unless students do not correct themselves morally.

The results of our survey are given as follows:

95% of school and college teachers said that cheating is out of control because of our environment. They help students to cheat because of personal relations with the students. And 5% of them said that cheating is not out of control and they do not support any cheating activity

89% students told that cheating is totally out of control. 9% of students said that it is not totally out of control but it is difficult to control and only 2% of students said that cheating is not out of control.

From our survey we conclude that 49.75% 0f the people said that cheating is controllable and 50.25% people said that cheating is totally out of Control.

Why is cheating out of control????

Students take pressure to succeed in a highly competitive world.

They see cheating in every fact of life: politics, business, home, and school

Students do not do hard work. So to find shortcuts they try to cheat

Reasons:

Students cheat in exams to get higher grades.

Incompletion of course in time.

We consider it as our right.

Some students help their friends and poor students in exam so that they may get passed.

Invigilation staff is not strict

Invigilation staff has personal relations with students.

As for as assignments are concerned teachers do not check the home assignments, so students cheat and copy assignments of one another.

Students sometime get a very short time for assignments. So they copy from one another or from the internet.
