Building a better conference together The IUSSP International Population Conference (IPC 2021) is the world’s only global scientific population conference. First organized in 1927 and held every four years since 1959, the conference brings together over 2,000 scientists, policymakers and practitioners from around the globe to present and discuss the latest research on contemporary population and development issues.

IPC 2021 presents a unique opportunity for public and private, national and international organizations and civil society to showcase and promote their services and products and inform and engage with a global audience in the broad and multidisciplinary field of population studies.

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, IPC2021 will be a hybrid conference with a small number of in-person sessions in India, at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), while most sessions will be virtual. The conference will offer round-the-clock sessions to enable participants from all over the world to join.

The support of sponsors is vital for the success of IPC 2021, also because the costs of a hybrid, mostly virtual, conference platform are high.

IPC 2021 offers a wide range of sponsorship opportunities on both the scientific and social program of the Conference, and we can tailor these to sponsors’ objectives and priorities. Conference Overview The 29th International Population Conference 2021 takes place at the invitation of the Indian Association for the Study of Population (IASP). Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, IPC 2021 will be a hybrid conference, with a small number of in-person sessions in India at the Hyderabad Convention Centre. Most sessions will be virtual. The conference runs from 5-10 December 2021.

IPC 2021 is the first global population conference where the wide-ranging impacts of the global Covid-19 pandemic will be discussed.

Expecting to gather over 2,000 online and onsite participants from across the globe, IPC 2021 will include some 200 sessions with over 800 oral and 1,000 poster presentations. All presentations will be selected from peer-reviewed scientific research submitted to the Call for Papers. The conference program also features Keynotes, Round Tables and Debates on critical population issues with leading world experts, as well as both onsite and online Exhibitions and side meetings.

About the Organizers IUSSP was established in 1928 and is the single largest global professional association of population specialists. With over 2,000 members from 140 countries, the IUSSP brings together researchers, policymakers and practitioners from diverse disciplinary backgrounds to study key population issues.

IASP is the professional association of Indian demographers, public health specialists and development scientists, with a membership of about 1,000. Its members are an active scientific community and play key advisory roles to various arms of the government, including the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Registrar General and Census Commissioner.

Become a Sponsor The International Population Conference of the IUSSP convenes every four years and is a unique event in its own right. It allows sponsors the opportunity to connect with the multidisciplinary global population research community. Sponsors can share their messages, services and products with conference participants, interact with a global audience of experts, and demonstrate their support for the IUSSP and, more broadly, the world community of population specialists. As our knowledge partners, sponsors help to strengthen international networks and collaboration and will be recognized in the conference program and other related media. Sponsorship fees for virtual IUSSP sessions will cover participation costs from low and middle-income country participants as well as the costs of the virtual platform and supporting facilities. Sponsorship fees for onsite India Day sessions and other activities will go towards funding local organization costs in India.

Sponsorship Opportunities IPC 2021 offers a wide range of sponsorship opportunities both for the scientific and social program of the Conference. Sponsorship opportunities are specified below and can be tailored to the objectives and priorities of the sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities can also be combined in packages:

The Macro Population Package. This premium support package is aimed at leading knowledge partners of IPC 2021 and provides generic support to the organization of the conference. It includes sponsorship (logo and a 30-second video message introduction for up to 20 scientific sessions and post-session “meet-the-author” virtual chats, and inputs into one Keynote and one Round Table and/or Debate Session. The

package further includes a virtual Exhibition “booth” and up to four complimentary Conference registrations and visibility at the in-person event in Hyderabad. Cost: Euro 25,000

The Meso Population Package. This premium support package provides generic support to IPC 2021 for major knowledge partners. It includes sponsorship of up to 15 scientific sessions with break out rooms and inputs into one Keynote or one Round Table and/or Debate Session. The package further includes full-scale advertisements on the conference website (banner) as well as a virtual Exhibition “booth” and up to three complimentary Conference registrations and visibility at the in-person event in Hyderabad. Cost: Euro 20,000

The Micro Population Package. This package provides generic support to IPC 2021 for large knowledge partners. It includes sponsorship of up to 10 scientific sessions with breakout rooms and inputs into one Keynote and one Round Table or Debate Session. The package further includes advertisements on the conference website (banner) as well as a virtual Exhibition “booth” and up to 2 complimentary Conference registrations. Cost: Euro 15,000

Full-Day Sponsorship Package. Sponsor one full day of the Conference for maximum visibility and impact in the day’s 40 regular sessions and events. The package includes online visibility (logo) in all sessions of the day and inputs in the scope of one Keynote and one Round Table. The package further includes a virtual Exhibition “booth” and up to two complimentary Conference registrations. Cost: Euro 15,000

India Day Sponsorship Packages (forthcoming) are being organized to allow for maximum visibility and impact during the onsite India Day 8 sessions and other events at the Hyderabad International Convention Center. These will include full-scale advertisements on the conference website and in the conference programme, as well as a Premium Booth onsite, a virtual Exhibition “booth”, and complimentary conference registrations. Conference Theme Sponsorship Package. Sponsor a full Conference Theme of your choice for major visibility and impact with a focus. This package includes online visibility (logo) in a series of related sessions (10 to 15) of a particular Theme and inputs in the scope of one related Keynote or Round Table. Advertisements on the conference website (banner) a booth in the virtual Exhibition, including two complimentary Conference registrations, are also included. Cost: Euro 15,000

Plenary Session Package. Sponsor a Keynote or Round Table/Debate session for focused exposure, impact and visibility. The package also offers an advertisement on the conference website as well as a booth in the virtual Exhibition “booth” including up to two Conference registrations. Cost: Euro 5,000

Sponsored Research Leader Sessions. A limited number of Research Leader Sessions are available both for the virtual and the onsite conference program. Become a knowledge partner and raise awareness of your organization’s work in the population field by submitting a session proposal for IPC 2021. Proposals should include a description of the session topic with a global or regional focus and speakers from more than one country or institution. The organizers will review proposals and select those of high scientific quality and/or policy relevance and impact. The deadline to submit a proposal for a Research Leader Session is 15 September 2021. Interested partners are invited to contact us at IPC2021@iussp.org at their earliest convenience. Cost: Euro 10,000 for a 90-minute virtual or onsite Research Leader Session.

Scientific Sessions Package. Sponsor one or more regular sessions that are of special interest to your organization for focused visibility and impact. Select your preference from over 200 scientific sessions in the virtual or onsite program. This package includes visibility during the session (online logo, onsite

banner) and an announcement in the Conference program and on the Conference website. Cost: Euro 2,000 per session in the onsite (HICC) India Day or virtual program.

Simultaneous Translation Package. Simultaneous interpretation for better connectivity of participants may be provided for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and selected regular sessions depending on funding. Sponsor simultaneous interpretation English/French or another language of your choice for these events. Cost: Euro 2,000 per language or one 90-minute session.

Breakout Area Package. Sponsor a virtual breakout area where participants interact and meet the authors after sessions end. Excellent visibility in a relaxed setting. Cost: Euro 2,500 per breakout area.

Virtual Exhibition Booth Package. A booth at the virtual conference platform of IPC 2021 gives wide visibility to your organization on the virtual conference platform for up to 1 month. Depending on technical facilities, it may include options for interaction, such as meetings with participants during the conference. Cost Euro 500.

Onsite Sponsoring Opportunities in Hyderabad at the Hyderabad International Conference Centre, 5-6 December

The in-person conference will take place at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) 5-6 December with close to 300 participants. Events include the opening ceremony, India Day, and side-meetings. The opening ceremony and eight India Day sessions will be livestreamed and video recorded and integrated into the virtual conference platform assuring high international visibility for onsite sponsors.

Onsite Sponsorship packages and options India Day Sponsorship Package (forthcoming) are being organized to allow for maximum visibility and impact during the onsite India Day 8 sessions and other events at the Hyderabad International Convention Center. These will include full-scale advertisements on the conference website and in the conference programme, as well as a Premium Booth onsite, a virtual Exhibition “booth”, and complimentary conference registrations. Video Streaming Package. ONSITE. Sponsor the onsite video streaming facilities to connect the onsite events, including the Opening Ceremony at HICC, with the virtual conference. The package includes two video crews (one per video streams), with cameras and recording equipment, and multiple widescreen video screens in the HICC session rooms. Cost: Coming Soon.

Welcome Reception Package. ONSITE. Sponsor the Welcome Reception for some 300 participants and dignitaries, which immediately follows the Opening Ceremony at the conference venue at HICC. This package includes “onsite” visibility through posters and banners, “on stage” visibility during the Reception with posters and displays at buffet tables. Conference Dinner Package. ONSITE. Sponsor the Conference Dinner for some 350 participants and dignitaries at the conference venue HICC. This package includes “on site” visibility through posters and banners, “on stage” visibility during the Dinner with posters and displays at dinner tables. The Package further includes full-scale advertisements on the conference website (banner) and in the Conference Program (one-page ad). Cost: Coming Soon.

Lunch Package. ONSITE. Sponsor one or more of the five lunch breaks for all 300 participants. The Lunch Package includes recognition in the Conference program (announcement) and (optional) the display of your organization’s logo and any promotional material in the lunch areas. Cost: Coming Soon.

Coffee and Tea Service Package. ONSITE. Sponsor one or more coffee and tea services during the Conference. This package includes “onsite” visibility where your organization’s logo may be displayed on buffet tables; your support will also be mentioned in the Conference program. Cost: Coming Soon.

Conference Bag. ONSITE. Sponsor the eco-friendly conference bag that will be handed to all 300 onsite participants upon registration. The bag will include the Conference program and information from the organizers, a pen and notepaper. Have your organization’s logo printed on the bag together with the official Conference logo and the IUSSP logo. Conference Lanyard. ONSITE. Sponsor the conference lanyard that will be worn by all 300 onsite participants during the entire Conference for enhanced visibility of your organization. Have your logo printed on the lanyard together with the official Conference logo. Cost: Coming Soon.

Travel Support to Indian Delegates. Sponsor the attendance of Indian participants who will be provided with partial financial support by the Indian organizers. Criteria for sponsored participants as well as selection will be made by the Indian Organizers. Cost: Coming Soon.

Become an Exhibitor IPC 2021 will feature an onsite Exhibition. The onsite Exhibition is in a dedicated, centrally located and easily accessible Exhibition Area at HICC where at least 300 participants will convene on 5-6 December. Different sizes of Exhibition Booths are available to showcase your organization, its research, materials, publications, services and/or other items of interest to Conference participants.
