ASJ/SSL Fiberglass Pipe Insulation

Fiberglass Pipe.Fiberglass pipe insulation is a one piece molded insulation made from glass !bers bonded with a thermo setting resin. The jacketing is a white kraft paper bonded to aluminum foil and reinforced with a !berglass scrim. The longitudinal lap of the jacket has a self-sealing adhesive strip and a pre-cut butt strip is purchasable for each section.

High quality materials with temperature range from 0 to 850 F. The standard length is 3 feet in 1/2 inch increments. Sizes available range from 1/2 inch to 24 inch iron pipe size with thickness differences from 1 to 4 inches.

ASJ, FSK, PVC Facing Tapes

Insulation Tapes.

Thomas Insulation provides a variety of specialty tapes for insulation applications. Our most popular are FSK, ASJ and PVC tapes. Foil scrim kraft tape is used for sealing cold and dual temperature duct seams and joints where FSK is the basic insulation facing. The scrim bends with the primary facing and gives a strong, !nished look.

Whereas All surface jacket tape is used for sealing cold and dual temperature duct and pipe systems where the basic insulation uses ASJ facing. Polyvinyl Chloride tape is designed for use with pre-molded, high impact PVC insulation !tting covers e.g. to seal 90° and 45° Tees and long radius sweeps or valves of PVC materials.

PVC jacket covers are !tting insulation systems that are pre-molded #exible !tting covers with or without #exible glass !ber blanket insulation inserts. 

PVC !ttings may be used on hot and cold applications when the temperature to which the outer jacket is subjected does not exceed 150° F.

Core Speci!cations: Pre-shaped Polyvinyl Chloride, !re & smoke safety rated and UV & Fungi resistant.

Provides an aesthetic appearance and offers a wide temperature range as well as providing excellent thermal value.

Sizes 2 to 20 routinely available, with or without inserts.

Duct liner is speci!cally designed as an interior insulation material for sheet metal ducts used in heating, ventilating and air conditioning. It provides an optimum combination of efficient sound absorption, low thermal conductivity and minimal airstream surface friction. It is faced with a tightly bonded mat to give the airstream a smooth, tough surface, resisting damage during installation and operation. The encapsulated edge coating eliminates airstream #aring.

Core Speci!cations: Duct liner is very durable and resilient, supporting temperatures up to 250 degrees F and a Maximum 6000 fpm. It is unique with low thermal conductivity, !re resistant, non corrosive and offers excellent sound absorption.
