Review of Eligibility List You will receive your campus eligibility

list at the end of January. You will need to review your list and

remove anyone that is not in good standing with your campus.

You will need faculty approval of your list.

The list needs to be returned to the Executive Director in early February.

Beginning Planning One of the first things you will need to do

is to begin planning the date, time and location where you will be having your induction.

Budget Planning As we have mentioned – you won’t know

exactly how many people you will have attend.

Using the example in the previous slide…you started with 100 on your list, you estimate 35 will accept and 25 will RSVP. You are entitled to $30 per member that RSVP’s or attends. In addition you will receive $30 for up to 5 campus guests or assistants.

25 + 5 = 30 X 30 = $900

Invitation No less than 90 days out from your

ceremony, you should send an Eventbrite invitation to all qualified candidates, members and campus administration.

You will need to coordinate this with the Eventbrite coordinator at your campus.

The invitation will stipulate that each candidate may bring up to 2 adult guests.

Ceremony Your ceremony will follow the program with

verbiage from the script. After the welcome and key note address – the

script begins with the “introduction”. As new members are presented, they come up

to the podium and are handed their certificate. This is when you will pin the purple ribbon.

Following the conclusion on the script – you may want to finish with quotes on what this means to students and promote making this special.
