Next…Check the availability of your search. This page tells you there are 6 selections with HARRY POTTER in the title.
By clicking on the title, you can get more information on the book. Write down the call number of the book you want to check out.

What is a call number?
Call numbers are the numbers and letters on the spine of a book. They help you find a book on the shelf. This system of classification is called the Dewey Decimal System. We use something similar for other sections in the library.

Do fiction books follow the Dewey
system also?
No, fiction books don’t follow the Dewey. To
find a fiction book, you need to know the
author’s last name. The first letter of the call
number is always “F” for “Fiction,” followed by the first three letters of the
author’s last name.
