PATTERN OF EXAMINATION

The AIPMT Examination shall consist ol one paper coniaining1 80 objective type queslions (lour opiions with single correctanswer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany &Zoology). The duralion of paper would be 03 hours from10.00 a.m. to 0l.00 p.dr.

ELIGIBILTTY CRITERIA(i) Indian Nationals and Overs€as CitizerE ol India ate

eligible for appearing in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT).

(ii) The candidate must hav€ completed age of 17 years althe tirne ot admission on or before 31 st Dec€mber, 201 6.

(iii) Ths upper age limii for candidates seeking admissionunder 1 5% All India Quola Seats is 25 years as on 3t stDecembe(, 2016 relaxable by a psriod of 5 (fiv€) yearslor SCV STgOPCS.

(iv) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admissionin MBBS/BDS seats under the control of participatingStabs/Universities/lnstitutions shall be as per the rulesof the State/University/lnstitution concemed.

(v) Thd candidate must have passed in the subjects olPhFics, Chsmistry Biology/Bio-lechnology and Englishindividually. The c€ndidales from lhg other categoriesmust have obtained a minimum of soyo marks takentogether in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-techhology at the qualilying examination and candidatesbelo{Eing lo Scheduled Cast€y'Sch€duled Tribss or OtherBackward Classes, must have obtained 4oolo instead ol5o%. Further, for persons for locomotory disability oflower limbs, the minimum ol457o marks lor GeneralPHand,lo% marks for SC-PIVST-PI-UOBC-PH are required.Those who are appearing in Class Xll examination in2016 rnay also appear for lhe entrance lest provisionallysubjecl io their tufilling lhe condilions later.

(vi) Candidatss from the Slat€s of Andhra Pradesh,Telangana and J & K are not eligible tor 15% All IndiaQuota s€ats as these states had.opted out of All IndiaSd|emo sinca its inception. Howsver, they ars eligibleto app€aI in AIPMT for admission in AFMC, Pune.
