eChallan-IFMS NIC-HP eChallan - Online Government Receipts Accounting System *Government of Himachal Pradesh* (https://himkosh.hp.nic.in/echallan ) Any fee or tax due to government is deposited in treasury bank through treasury Challan under prescribed heads of accounts. The Government of Himachal Pradesh (GoHP) has decided to provide e-Payment facility to citizens for pay such fees and taxes through online mode also. e-Payment facility is in addition to the conventional methods of payment offered by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The acceptance of on-line payment of HP State Taxes, fees and other receipts through the internet portals of various banks have been developed, without having any major change in on the existing procedure for the executive and accounting agencies of the Department To avail of this facility the taxpayer is required to have a net-banking account with any of the Banks listed by the government on this site. All Departmental receipts are covered 24X7 facility On-Line Filling of single challan form facilitates minimum fields of the challan to be filled. Instant online receipts for payment made and instant online banks transaction number made available. One can pay personal taxes,fees,etc as well as on behalf of the firm, company and others. One may take printout of challan in three copies in case of manual banking [with cheque/DD]. Procedure for e-payment: User can pay tax by registering or without registration on e-Challan potal. After submitting the form, unique HIMGRN will be generated and on e-payment at bank, CIN(challan identification) and BRN (bank reference No. will be generated. Challan can be tracked through HIMGRN. To pay taxes online the taxpayer will have to select the Department and DDO as applicable. Enter its department reference number or any other unique number assigned by department if available. Field is optional, but it is important for departments like Transport or Excise & Taxation where unique numbers have been assigned i.e. Vehicle registration number for transport or TIN is for Excise & Taxation. Fill up other challan details like accounting head under which payment is to be made, tendered by and address of taxpayer, Payment details under displayed scheme and also select the bank through which payment is to be made, etc. On submission of data entered, a confirmation screen will be displayed. If the taxpayer confirms the data entered in the challan, it will be directed to the net-banking site of the bank. The taxpayer will login to the net-banking site with the user id/ password provided by the bank for net- banking purpose. Thereafter, entered payment details will be displayed for confirmation. Please note, at the bank site payment details cannot be altered On successful payment, a challan counterfoil will be displayed containing CIN, payment details and bank name through which e-payment has been made and payee returns to eChallan portal to print Challan. The Challan will be password protected.

User Login

There are two types of login

a) Non Registered User login b) Registered User login

Non Registered User login: Step -1 : How to Login: Enter Login ID as guest, Password as guest123 and Login As ‘Public’ [Please

note password is case sensitive] and click Login

Step2: How to fill Challan: After successful login following screen/blank Challan form will appear. Fill the following information. The information marked ‘*’ is mandatory

Note: Tender By and mobile no. Field should be correct as the challan generated is password protected

file. Enter Password in Capital Letters. Password will be a combination of first three character of Tender By and last five digit of mobile no as entered.

Step 3: Print Challan

After Successful Transaction done at Selected Bank Portal, A user can print the Challan.

For Registered Users: For Registration a User must have a valid email id. Enter the correct Login Detail and Personal Detail. A verification email is sent to EmailId as entered in Registration Form. Login With Your credentials. A user can Update Profile, can Change password. Add Services : From My Service –: Manage Service choose department , its corresponding service and DDO in whose favour payment to be done.

Challan Payment: Make Payment – Challan. Select specific services as shown in Services Available in

Your Account. A user can make a payment of multiple services In favour of same DDO.

After submission of challan details, challan data is transferred to selected bank portal for making payment,

by using/operating his net-banking account. Bank will authenticate transaction and return to eChallan

portal with transaction status.

Registered user have advantage over non registered user, they can create profile and save required list of

tax payments. Saved list would help the user to enter challan details at the blink of an eye and also have

access to view history of transactions and also facility to take print of old transactions.
