Then we asked him to tell us more
about himself and he said he liked
listening to music whilst reading,
gardening and watching football.
For our first edition we decided to
interview Mr Cotton. We asked him
what he liked about teaching and he
said that he loved sharing knowledge
with children and seeing their
smiles.
Secondly, we asked him why he
wanted to be a teacher and he said
because he saw other teachers
teaching and really wondered what
it’s like and he liked it.

of fun and the experience has been
made even better by knowing we have
helped others.

Karen from the NSPCC came in on
Monday 11th 2019 to tell us that we

an incredible Netball tournament
which Year 5 and 6 took part in.
Many schools took part such as
Lower Peover, Goostrey , Holmes
Chapel and Hermitage. As we

On Sunday 3rd March 2019 Charlotte
(Y6) represented Sandbach Gymnastics
Club. She left the house at 9:30am
excited, gradually becoming more
nervous the closer she got to the venue,
a high school on the Wirral.
Upon arrival she met up with her team
and gymnastics teacher. After a quick
warm-up she headed off with some of
her team-mates to the vault where she
completed two handstand flat-backs.
Then it was time for her floor routine.
The day ended with all the teams
gathered together in the hall for an
award ceremony where she received a
gold medal for her vault and a bronze
medal for her floor routine.
Charlotte stated “I really enjoy doing my
competitions and I do them once or
twice a year.”
Gymnastics Success!
On Monday 4th of March, our hockey team travelled to HCCS (Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School) for a tournament. The
team played 6 8 minute matches against a series of other schools. They had a squad of 7, who all played amazingly.
The other schools: Lower Peover, Holmes Chapel, Goostrey , Hermitage and Peover
Superior.
The first match was against Lower Peover. It was a close match, but amazing tackles, great passing up the wing and FAB goals meant that a
win was inevitable. The team all worked together really well.
This set the standard for the rest of the tournament and the games carried on as listed
below:
Lower Peover : 2-0
Holmes Chapel: 4-0
Goostrey 1: 2-0
Goostrey 2: 2-0
