Unlocking ArchivesA new resource just released at BETT, Unlocking Archives combines resources from The National Archives, film from the British Film Institute and photographs from English Heritage. This growing resource for all Key Stages is well worth a look.

CEOP strategic overviewThe latest strategic document from the Child Exploitation and Online Protection centre is available from http://www.ceop.gov.uk/downloads/documents/CEOPStrategicOverview2008.pdf It is invaluable in disseminating their most recent intelligence. The section in the executive summary on trends is particularly interesting as it notes developments in technology and possible shifts in the nature of the risks.

Using MS Word to Develop Pupils’ Writing

This is a course in three parts. We will be looking at how MS Word can be used to enhance writing tasks.

Wed 11th Feb Microsoft Access for Middle School Pupils

We will be looking at how MS Access can be used in middle schools as learners progress towards the demands of KS4

Tues 24th Feb ICT Subject Leader Development Meeting (Secondary Strategy)

This term’s meeting is largely focussed on Assessing Pupil Progress (APP)

Tues 10th Mar Using Sound We will explore uses for sound in the curriculum, both for teaching and learning.

Thurs 19th Mar ICT Subject Leader Development Meeting (Primary)

Following the last meeting we will be discussing pupil tracking and levelling.
