The majority shareholders are the company’s founders Håkan and Gunn Thysell, who, along with 3iGroup, control the company. Håkan and Gunn are both active within the company, and Håkan is the inventor of most of the products and process ideas, which in many cases are patented.

HTC’s grinding machines and diamond tools are used for stripping, grinding and polishing concrete floors, natural stone, terrazzo and wooden floors. Since the launch of the first machines in 1992, HTC has driven both technological and product development within the entire industry so it can offer the largest and best range of solutions. HTC has the market’s broadest range of grinding machines, grinding tools and dust extractors, but despite this, the company is continuing to make significant investments in new innovations to be able to offer the market better, more effective and more environmentally-friendly systems.

HTC is the market leader in all the major industrialised markets, including the USA, and over 85 % of production goes for export, via both our own companies in the USA, Germany, the UK and France, and a well-developed network of exclusive retailers, known as HTC Global Partners. These partners represent HTC around Europe, North and South America, Asia, Australia and Africa. Sales to other countries are organised from Sweden or by the nearest partner. The number of global partners is being constantly expanded and each year a number of very qualified distributors on new international markets are being added to this network.

Twister™ is a diamond-impregnated cleaning pad that during repeated independent tests proved to be the most effective and environmentally-sound cleaning method for all types of floor – a cleaning method with no chemicals at all!

HTC Superprep™ is another important part of our business, i.e. preparing and removing old floor coverings with the aid of grinding. A method that immediately levels the floor ready for a new finish or an HTC SuperfloorTM.

HTC EZwood™ is a completely unique wood grinding concept. Surface-grinding a wooden floor provides a perfect surface, free from ‘gouges’ and unevenness. The machine is extremely simple to operate, so anyone can grind their own floor.

HTC’s systems include a complete concept that takes into account Economy, Ergonomics and Ecology.HTC’s business concept is to Develop, Manufacture and Sell Professional Flooring Solutions.

The HTC Academy is now in its fourth year and the success is continuing. For one and a half days we share our experiences in terms of professional flooring solutions. Industrialised grinding systemsThe HTC 2500 iX was the first in this machine segment with a grinding width of around 2.5 m and an integrated suction system and power supply. HTC has now launched the HTC 1500 ixT, a very compact, effective and easy-to-operate machine with a grinding width of around 1.5 metres. The HTC iAD seriesFinally a suction system specially adapted to grinding machines. HTC has heralded a new era within the market for suction devices by introducing the HTC 5 iAD, HTC 10 iAD and HTC 15 iAD. The new suction devices are a revolutionary invention within an area where almost nothing has happened in the last 30 years. The list of benefits for the new HTC suction devices compared with traditional suction systems, is long.

Two-year warrantyHTC’s machines undergo continuous quality improvement and therefore we now feel confident in providing our customers with increased security by issuing a 2-year machine warranty. EZgrind™The ultimate edge tool for everything from coarse-grinding to polishing hard-to-reach surfaces. Used for grinding edges and working on smaller areas with a result equivalent to what can be achieved with larger machines. Can be used for both dry and wet-grinding natural stone, terrazzo, concrete, etc.

EZwood™HTC is introducing a brand new concept in wood-grinding tools that makes the difficult simple. The newly-developed tools simplify grinding of all wooden floors, from duckboards and coarse floorboards to the finest parquet. The tools are adapted to the simple and unique EZchange™ system for rapid tool replacement.

The X modelsThe difference between a machine with three grinding discs and one with four (X model) is greater than you might at first think. The patented drive system consists of one large grinding disc and four smaller ones that rotate towards each other at up to 1,300 rpm. The design means the machine is perfectly balanced, which in turn makes grinding more ergonomic and exact. Other be-nefits of the X models are a higher grinding capacity, good operating economy and advanced functions such as integrated weights and radio control (HTC 950 RX) for an optimum working environment.

Mist Cooler SystemA small detail that makes a huge difference! The choice of tool is less critical, stripping increases by up to 100 % and the risk that the tools will ‘glaze’ is reduced. The system consists of a pump and a special nozzle that is fitted to the machine. A very fine water mist is diffused through the nozzle onto the floor surface. The result is that the tools are cooled and stripping is increased significantly. Can be fitted to the following models: HTC 650, 800 HDX and HTC 950 RX.

TWISTERThe cleaning revolution is here to stay! Twister™ is a revolutionary cleaning system that consists of pads coated with billions of microscopic diamonds. Twister cleans and polishes the floor mechanically instead of chemically – all you need to do is add water. The Twister system is unique and intended for daily cleaning of all hard floors. This benefits both your wallet and the environ-ment by completely eliminating the use of chemicals and the need for periodic maintenance.

DCS Hybrid™Old floors become like new. Like the Twister system, the DCS Hybrid™ is easy to use and environmentally friendly and allows you to remove spots, scratches and orange-peel effects using ordinary cleaning machines and water alone. The HTC 2500 iX is the world’s largest grinding machine. The machine consists of 3 grinding heads with 15 kW motors that grind up to 2.4 met-res in width. It’s the perfect machine for large areas that need to be grinded rapidly.

The machine is controlled with joysticks and, despite its size, is very easy to manoeuvre thanks to the arti-culated frame steering that provides an excellent swing radius. The driver sits in a cab with excellent visibility and has a clear control panel and a touch screen for all functionalities in front of him. The driver’s cab is hydrobox-mounted, which insulates against all vibra-tions, ensuring the driver has a comfortable workday.

The HTC 2500 iX has an integrated suction system that provides a good working environment, it is diesel-powered and has a particle filter so that it can be operated indoors without any problems. The grinding heads can easily be raised and lowered to make tool replacement easy and effective – EZchange of course!

In order to make the machine even more comfortable and user-friendly, you can equip it with air conditioning,a radio, CD player and communications radio. The HTC 1500 ixT is a ride-on machine that fun-ctions just as well in large areas as small. It rotates 180o on the spot. The machine’s grinding head con-sists of two modified 650 HDX heads, the grinding width is around 1.4 m and the motors are 11 kW each.

Floor types and related standardsFloor flatness are measured in many different standards so we have decided to reference our HTC ALL system to the DIN standard. There are two basic types of floors:

Free movement floorsFloors in manufacturing, retail and distribution, where material handling equipment is free to move in any direction, are measu-red with the latest digital equipment in accordance with:

With the HTC ALL system we can achieve Floor classification according to FM1.

Defined movement floorsFloors in very narrow aisle racking systems have material hand-

ling equipment that runs in defined and fixed paths between the racking. The floors are measured with Face Profile graphs of slightly differing configurations.

HTC iAD series Finally a vac system specially designed for grinding machines.

HTC has started a new era in the dust collection sector by introducing the HTC 5 iAD, HTC 10 iAD and HTC 15 iAD* vacuum systems. This vacuum system is a revolutionary invention in a field where almost nothing has happened during the last 30 years! The advantages compared with traditional vacuum systems are incredible!

The working environment has been a key issue when desig-ning the HTC 5 iAD, HTC 10 iAD and HTC 15 iAD. The cyclone in the vac has been designed to maximize the separation of micro dust particles that are produced when grinding - all to minimize the emission of dust into the air. The vac is constructed so optionally a palette can be placed under the Longopac to aid bag removal and collection, helping to avoid heavy lifting and handling.

The HTC vacs have an automatic purging system that cleans the internal filters. This makes the filters much more efficient compared to traditional vacuum systems. Also, they all have an integrated pre-separator which reduces the strain on the filter. The machine is equipped with a fine filter tube and a Hepa13 filter cartridge. Changing these filters is very easy. The vacs are small compared to their performance. They can be rotated into a service position for filter changes/maintenan-

ce and a further rotational position, reducing the overall height for ease of transportation - the vacs actually flip upside down when in transportation mode!

The vacs are specially adapted to different grinding machines. HTC 5 has one Longopac, HTC 10 two and HTC 15 three. Having multiple cyclones makes it possible to work longer before one of the Longopacs would need to be replaced. Thus, saving valuable work time. Also, you can change the Longopac while still running the grinding machine and vac, i.e. grinding can continue while changing the bag. The biggest of the three vacs, the HTC 15 iAD, can even handle more than one grinding machine! Another incredible advantage is that no matter which vac you choose they all have the same spare parts, filters etc. Each HTC vac comes with a 2 year warranty.

Why so many grinding tools?

Some wonder why there are so many different segments and grinding tools in the HTC range. Why not provide a universal tool that can cover most tasks? Unfortunately, it’s just not that simple. In most cases one floor bears little resemblance to any other. As far as concrete grinding is concerned a number of problems often arise for example, with extremely hard floors, loose and porous concrete, troublesome coverings, rain-damaged concrete, etc.Therefore professional grinders need special tools and even if a number of the HTC tools can be considered standard and suitable for most tasks, there is still a need for special tools.

Name Description

Twister™ Black For heavy duty cleaning of stained and dirty industrial coatings and raw concrete surfaces. Removes oil, grease, soot and truck marks. Twister™ Black is the problem solver for the industry.

Twister™ Red For heavy duty cleaning of worn stone floors. Twister Red will effectively remove scratches and stains from the surface and leaves a clean, matt surface prepared for the subsequent Twister steps.

Twister™ White Step 1 for the Standard or Intensive Twister method. Twister White will remove tiny scratches from the surface and leaves a silky matt, cleaned and well prepared surface for the subsequent Twister steps.

Twister™ Yellow Step 2 for the Standard or Intensive Twister method. This stage leaves a surface that is well prepared for the final step of the Twister™ method.

Twister™ Green Final step for the Standard or Intensive method and also for daily maintenance of the floor. This step will effectively maintain a high gloss on the surface when used regularly. Twister Green is ideal for use on all floor surfaces such as stone, vinyl and linoleum floors. For high-speed polishing of HTC Superfloor™, terrazzo and natural stone surfaces. Twister Green is also very effective in polishing polish-coated vinyl and linoleum floors.

Twister™Floor Conditioner

For stone floors in bad condition, add a small dose of Twister Floor Conditioner. When performing an upgrade of the floor it is also recom-mended that Twister Floor Conditioner be used. Works excellently as a spray buffer with Twister high speed polishing. Environmentally safe, Twister Floor Conditioner is approved as a “Good Environmental Choice” by the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation. Twister Floor Conditio-ner does not contain wax or polish.

DCS Hybrid consists of diamond segments in two different grit sizes, combined with a diamond impregnated pad attached to a soft Velcro holder. Available in 14”, 17”, 20” and 21” sizes. DCS Hybrid works on all single head scrubber machines. For large areas use auto scrubbers with sufficient down pressure (min. 70 kg).

For maximum lifetime and best results, mount the DCS Twister pads to a Velcro holder without a central lock. The DCS Hybrid pads must be used together with a Velcro holder.

Name Description

DCS Hybrid™ Brown Hybrid Brown is the most coarse segment in the DCS Hybrid series. It removes minor scoring, lippage, excessive wear and staining.

DCS Hybrid™ Blue The last step when renovating with DCS Hybrid. Prepares the floor for further upgrading with Twister.
