Thank you to teachers, students and parents who supported our activities last Friday. Donations to the Fair were well received. The exact amount raised has not been calculated, but as soon as the figure is available, I will let the community know. The launch of our Anti-Bullying Policy, titled “Kindness Matters” was most successful. online, details are on the last page of the leaflet. When you order books through Bookclub, our school earns points to buy books for our school. Thank you, Deb Nicklin. MINDQUEST & THINK CLUB - For enrichment activities. Leaflets are available in the foyer of the office. WOOLWORTHS “EARN & LEARN” - It's that time of year again! We are collecting the Woolworths “Earn and Learn” stickers again to win equipment for our school. In previous years the support from the school community has been amazing and we have been able to buy valuable Sports, Science and Maths equipment for K-6. A sheet will come home to each family this week for you to start collecting the stickers. You will earn one sticker for every $10 spent at Woolworths. If you complete the sheet, you are able to print off additional ones from woolworths.com.au/earnandlearn, and there will be some available on the table in the foyer also. There are collection boxes for the completed sheets in the front Office foyer and in the Library foyer. The competition runs from the Wednesday, 1 May to the Tuesday, 25 June. Many thanks for your wonderful support. Debbie Bell and Georgia Barnes. PSSA CRICKET—STATE KNOCKOUT - Our State Knockout cricket team travelled up the M1 last Thursday to play our 2nd Round match against Kariong P.S. We bowled first and a strong all-round bowling and fielding performance from our boys restricted the opposition to a total of 9/32 from 25 overs. The best bowlers were: Aryan K. (2/3), Zac L. (2/7), Maanav S. (2/9), Lucas H. (1/2), Jordan W. (1/3) and Ian A. (1/4). Good catches were taken by Luke T., Maanav, Tom A. and Riley P. Our run chase started shakily after we lost Luke T. (6 runs), struggling at 2/7 from the first 6 overs. A solid partnership between Lucas H. (15 not out) and Lars A. (4 not out) guided us to a comfortable victory as we reached 2/33 in the 12th over. Congratulations boys on a terrific match! Thank you to Mrs Amarasinghe, Mrs Hunter, Mrs Thurbon and Mr & Mrs Lam for driving and supporting the team. Training will continue on Tuesday afternoons, from 3:15-4:00pm. Our 3rd Round opponents are Cherrybrook P.S., with the match to be played probably in Week 4. Thank you, Michael Howard. PSSA WINTER COMPETITION - Last week’s games were cancelled, due to poor weather conditions.

June. We have a super number of sponsors, stallholders and community groups who've come on board this year - many for the first time. You will now see a range of notes and information coming home, calling for the assistance of families to be part of the day, either working at the event, or preparing materials or assisting in advance. Today notes go home for K- 3 about our hamper raffle. For the Fair, we will have a monster hamper raffle of 26 hampers, including two special hampers with a focus on sustainable products. The hampers include a range of ideas that many of you have contributed to including pamper hampers (for men and women), activity hampers for kids and families, movie night, sporting, craft, car lovers, kitchen, garden, BBQ and picnic hampers. This information will also be circulated to the Class Parents and via social media. Most importantly, we have a P&C Meeting coming up next Monday, 13 May at 7:30pm. We will have a general update, but the majority of the meeting will focus on the Community Fair. If you have questions, issues, ideas of offers of support, please come along to the meeting.
