In addition, Mezzanine areas provided 1074m2 for additional storage and racking. At the southern end of the warehouse are two 2-storey office facilities and customer distribution & collection point totalling 600m2. A twenty Tonne Gantry Crane provides the ability to lift heavy goods and materials to the warehouse area. On the eastern side of the site stands the branch building and workshop. The branch building offices are the Headquarters for HCMA Qld and the two stories total 2000 m2 The offices include; open plan areas, large scale reception, personnel lift, director offices, boardroom, dining rooms and amenities. A workshop of 1800m2 includes air-conditioned workshops, tool stores, and the main workshop floor where Hitachi plant is built, repaired, and maintained. At the Northern end of the Workshop paint booths were constructed. with 24038m3 of volume and HCMA can now paint a large scale mining plant. The workshop facility also includes a large wash bay area where plant can be cleaned prior to entering the main workshop floor. The project site is located on a natural water course, which was required to be diverted to allow the construction to be completed. The diversion was permanent and included a km of in-ground reinforced concrete pipes running from the South to the North of the site. The diversion passed beneath Tile Street and exited the site at the North via a spill way.
