VIEWING OF THE BULLSViewing of the bulls will be welcome at any time prior to the sale. The yearling bulls are housed at Cattleland Feedyards in pens 47 (Limousin) and 59 (Angus) and the two-year-olds are housed at Highland Stock Farm. Yearling bulls will be moved to Highland from Cattleland on March 15th.

ABSENTEE BUYERS OPTIONIf you are unable to attend the sale, please contact Rob or Amanda, or Keith Kissee. We would be glad to discuss the bulls and your needs to find you a bull or bulls that fit your program. If we deliver a bull that you do not like, you do not own him.

TERMS & CONDITIONSAll bulls sell under the standard breeding guarantee and guidelines recommended by the Canadian Limousin and Canadian Angus Associations. Copies are available upon request. Announcements from the auction block take precedents over printed material.

BOARD ON SALE BULLSWe can keep bulls until delivery. We would like all bulls picked up or delivered by May 1 unless previous arrangements have been made. These bulls must be insured. Pick-up on sale day would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the 14th Annual Highland Bull Sale!

It is with our great pleasure that we invite you to Bragg Creek on March 18th. The Limousin offering will include two year olds and yearling bulls, polled, red and black. Our yearling bulls were once again fed at Cattleland and our two year olds were fed on our place in Bragg Creek. Our Limousin bulls all have genetic profile to determine, either by pedigree or by test, whether they are homozygous polled or homozygous black. Besides raising and selling high performance bulls, we are striving to become a HOMOZYGOUS Polled herd. We believe this the most important trait we can pass to commercial producers. All bulls will be semen tested and on sale day a supplement sheet will be provided with sale day weights and scrotal measurements.

We are once again happy to partner with Thane & Kerri Russell, Foxwood Farm, Cochrane, Alberta for a powerful set of Angus yearling bulls, that Rob & Amanda selected and were also fed at Cattleland Feedyards in Strathmore.

We will again be offering a Sight Unseen Plan- if you are unable to attend the sale and wish to purchase, you may contact anyone of the sale staff and we will help you fill your order. When the bull is delivered to you if you are

not satisfied we will then take the bull back at no cost to you. We will help with delivery arrangements and deliver free up to 300 miles—but would greatly appreciated if any bulls could be picked up sale day or no later than May 1st.

We would like you to know that you can buy from our program with confidence, as our family has been involved with the Angus Breed since 1905- Rob’s great-grandfather F.R. Cathro of Casa Loma Farms; and 1932 – Rob’s grandfather, Charles Matthews of Highland Stock Farms; and the Limousin breed since 1970 – Don and Rob Matthews, Highland Stock Farms and continuing with fifth generation, Amanda Matthews-Haywood and Laura Matthews-Clarke. Hopefully with sixth generation, Holt & Revington Haywood and Wilder & Sawyer Clarke.

Buy Limousin bulls from Alberta Limousin Association Members and you could win some cash!

The Alberta Limousin Association is proud to announce a cash incentive to be drawn among 2017 bull buyers. Every bull buyer who purchases a bull from an ALA member in good standing, is eligible for the draw, providing the transfer of ownership has been received by the Canadian Limousin Association no later than May 1, 2017.

Eligibility:• All buyers of registered Limousin, Lim-Flex or percentage bulls sold between January 1st, 2017 and April 30, 2017;• Every purchase will result in an entry for the draw and is not restricted to Alberta residents.

Conditions:• Seller must be an ALA member in good standing;• Request for transfer of ownership must be received at the CLA office by May 1, 2017;• Sales of bulls could be via auction or private treaty.

Prizes:• The draw will take place at the annual ALA field day, tentatively scheduled for June 17, 2017. The three cash prizes will be offered as follow;
