Introduction

The GSA Auto Website Submitter is a program designed to submit your website to thousands of search engines and directories. It will save you a lot of time and money since its fully automated. Promoting your web page has never been easier. You just enter some information about your web site and the program does the rest.

So how does the submission work?

a) Load or create a project

b) Hit Main Menu → File → Submit → All checked Provider

c) On that dialog simply press OK

That's usually all you have to do. The program keeps in mind whenever a submission with that loaded project was successful or not and unchecks the site automatically if no submission is required.

The Main GUI

At the top you will have the ability to load the project file (Open button). You can also create a new project or edit an existing one.

In the middle you see the sites you can submit to (provider name, submission status, site type, what they accept as submission, if they require a back link (BL) and page rank). Next to the site listing you will see the statistics of successful, failed and unknown submissions together with the color and numbers.

At the left you see the toolbar where you can do different things like start the submission, go to settings menu, check for program updates and fine tune the site selection.

The bottom holds information about the highlighted provider in the listing (screenshot, pagerank, …).

Project Editor

With the project editor you create all the information that is required for a site to list your website. Fill as much information as possible. Not all fields are required to get filled out, but if you want to make sure that your webpage gets accepted to many sites, you should try to fill all fields.

For all fields you can use the famous spinning syntax. The spin syntax looks like this:

This website is {good|excellent|useful}.

And when the final text is generated it can have 3 different sentences in this example.

Site Selection

Usually you will not need this as the program keeps in mind where you have successfully submitted and will uncheck the sites for you on when you load a project. However you still might only want to submit to certain sites than all available sites. For this situation you can use the Selection tool that you can reach over the Main Menu → Tools or on the Toolbar.

You can for example check only German providers with a PageRank better than 0. You can do that in the following steps:

1. chose “Unchek” + “All” → Set

2. chose “Check” + “Provider country: DE” → Set

3. chose “Uncheck” + “PageRank: 0” → Set

If you load a new project, the selection if of course gone again, so you can load/save the selection for a later use.

Automatic Submission

There are various ways to submit to the sites. The most common one and the one you will probably use is the fully automated submission. That's possible with Main Menu → Submit → All checked Providers. A dialog as the one above will appear where you can again fine tune the submission process.

a) Submit to:

Here you can select the types of sites you want to submit to. BY default, all types are checked.

b) Reciprocal providers

Some sites want you to place a link to there sites on your site before you start the submission. Simply leave the box unchecked if you don't want these providers. However if you want them, you have to place a link to them. You can do that with the Reciprocal Link Manager. But make sure all links are present before the submission.

c) Security code providers.

A lot sites actually don't like automated submissions as it often gets abused by spam bots. They display an image with numbers or chars on it that you have to enter to proof that you are a human. So if you don't want to fill them, you have to choices. Either you hire someone else to do that for you (e.g. http://www.decaptcher.com) or

Page 7: GSA Auto Website Submitter Documentation

you simply skip the submission to the sites when you uncheck the box.

d) Alternative categories

Of course not every site uses the same categories as defines in your project. You can define them here. Simply leave that out and the program asks you at the end of the submission to fill categories for sites where no matching one was found.

e) Stop after XX successful submissions

This setting is actually very important when it comes to SEO (search engine optimization). Experts in this field don't recommend you to submit to more than 200 sites a month. A slow increase of links to your site is always better for your page rank.

Once you have prepared all, you will be able to start the submission by simply hitting OK.

If you have chosen to submit to “image code providers”, you will probably see a screen as above. Just fill the codes and press ENTER or the OK button. You will only see the codes where the internal analysis of the images failed and where also the captcha service that you might have used failed. At the bottom you see how many captchas are waiting to get filled. The button “Analyse image codes and prefill” will use the internal analysis function to fill the codes but with a less accurate algorithm.

If you use a captcha service like decaptcher.com and you still get a lot of captchas to fill, you should higher the timeout value in settings to give the service more time to analyze your codes and maybe also enable toe option to only submit one captcha to the service at a time.

Page 8: GSA Auto Website Submitter Documentation

At the end of the submission, you will be asked to fill categories for providers where no matching category was found. You can do that while clicking into the Category Class column, or by simply using “Fill by Mask”. When using the “Fill by Mask” function it will search all categories if they match a certain entered mask. In this case we search for all categories with “Image” in it. A Box will get displayed to you where you can chose the categories that might match your expectations and assign them to your alternative categories.

Now you are done with the submission.

This dialog will appear when all is done, well almost.

Page 9: GSA Auto Website Submitter Documentation

As written earlier, you will get a lot of emails now with verification links that you have to click to get the website listed. If you don't click the links, it was a wast of time to submit to them. So you can now either log into your email client and click every link on your own, or simply use the “E-Mail Validation Tool”.

You have two options to chose how to parse emails.

a) Only get emails

This will load the emails from your email provider and parse for links while leaving all emails untouched on your email server

b) Get and delete email if link was found

As you might guess, the emails where a verification link was found get deleted from the server. You should chose this as you will not need the emails anymore once the link has been found and listed in the box.

So the links are there. Now click “Open all checked URLs” and the verification process is finished and so your site submission. FINALLY!

Manual Submission

A manual submission is almost the same as when you load the site in your browser and fill the fields. Well almost, as our program will fill the fields for you whenever it is possible. Usually you only have to fill the image code or category before pressing the “Submit” button on the page. At the right you will see the possible variables you can set (use right mouse button to copy/paste).

Config → Misc

Here you chose the language of the program and define the default login/password to get used.

Download preview for providers: This tries to create a screenshot of the webpage when you click on a provider. That's not required at all and many people would like to disable it as its just useless bandwidth and only improved the GUI a bit.

Config → Internet

Page 12: GSA Auto Website Submitter Documentation

If your internet connection requires to use a proxy, or if you want to use random proxies, you have to define them here.

The timeout for HTML-Requests will define when to gives up on a provider to wait for a reply.

Simultaneous submissions defines how many submissions are done at a time when using the automatic submission. You should be careful with the two settings as to many submissions at the same time might slow down everything as to much bandwidth is used. The settings in the screenshot should be good for everyone.

Config → Image Codes

Captchas or image codes get displayed during the submission if the program was unable to fill them out automatically. Unfortunately it is very difficult nowadays to detect captchas without a human eye. Still it is possible to automate the things if you make usage of so called external captcha analysis. You can chose between many different systems. The most common one is probably DeCaptcher.

Page 13: GSA Auto Website Submitter Documentation

Link Report

Once you are done with the submission, you still don't know if your website actually appears on the site or not. And its a pain to open all the providers URL and search for your link. You can now automate that as well with Main Menu → Tools → Link Report. It will try to search for your link with two methods. One is using the providers own search engine, the other will spider the whole site and check each link and sub category.

After you finished this, you can correct the submission status or remove the providers from your reciprocal link manager when using the right mouse button on such a provider.

Page 14: GSA Auto Website Submitter Documentation

Proxy List

A proxy is not only required if you can't get online without one (firewall problems), but also if you want to hide your IP. You can either buy a private proxy or use a public one. Public proxies can be found automatically as well. You just have to note that some of these public proxies might not be stable and go online/offline anytime. So if you have a list of possible proxies, check them before you start the submission (also possible within the software).

Remarks

Submission problemsWe are aware that some providers are not working at the moment. We will remove them on a later update if there is no change in the provider configuration.

UpdatesWe update the software on a regular basis (several updates a month). Anyway the software is intelligent enough to recognize changes in providers submission form and react on it by itself. Thats why we don't update as often as you think it would be required.

PricesThe software requires a lot manual work to have it up to date. That's why we had to make it monthly and yearly licenses (a lifetime license is however possible as well).

New Submission sites

We do our best to add new providers on each update (usually more than 10 on each update). However if you have an interesting site please let us know ([email protected]).

We at GSA have developed this tool mainly for our self to marked our other tools and thought that this is something others might enjoy. If you have any questions or feature requests please contact us. We are always open for new ideas.
