Founded in 1978 by Jacques R. Saadé, today CMA CGM is the world’s third largest container shipping group and number one in France.

CMA CGM is headquartered in Marseille (France), and operates out of over 600 offices and agencies in more than 160 countries. With regular services on over 200 shipping lines, the Group manages a dense network capable of meeting the expectations of its customers all over the world.

Our main recent achievements

DECEMBER 2015 CMA CGM TO ACQUIRE NOL Group: If the acquisition is validated by competent authorities, CMA CGM will reach a capacity of 2,399 thousand TEUs, a fleet of 563 vessels, a market share of 11.5% and a turnover of USD 22 billion.

MARCH 2016 Financial results 2015: CMA CGM has known a strong increase of the volumes (+6,3%) and a stable operational margin and net income, what permits to CMA CGM to have a consolidated revenue of USD 15,7 billion in 2015.

MARCH 2016 CMA CGM signs a Carbon Pact with DB Schenker, the German logistics provider. The agreement aims to reduce CO2 emissions generated by the transport of the DB Schenker containers supported by CMA CGM by 2020, all the while increasing activity.

APRIL 2016

Launch of the new REEFER advertising campaign. The ad highlights the expertise of the Group and the professionalism of its teams worldwide through its slogan CMA CGM: THE REEFERENCE and its signature: THE FINEST DEGREE IN REEFER EXPERTISE.

APRIL 2016

CMA CGM, COSCO Container Lines, Evergreen Line and Orient Overseas Container Line to establish “OCEAN Alliance”. Initially the deployment will cover more than 40 services globally mostly connected with Asia, including about 20 services each in the U.S. and Europe related trades.

JUNE 2016

CMA CGM Takes control of NOL Group and APL Brand on June 10th 2016. Temasek and its affiliates tender their NOL shares to the offer, bringing CMA CGM's stake in NOL to 78.07%
