3. Statement of your professional objectives for the program and certification(s) if any. In my current role as an assistive technology specialist for San Antonio's Northeast lSD, I work cooperatively with the campus Ed Tech Specialists to support a universal design for learning with our general ed, special ed, and homebound populations. In my district I am honored to be one ofthe designated administrators working in the Social Studies Sphere, increasing rigor and opportunities for students in our Social Studies courses. With my current Graduate School courses in History, obtaining the e-Iearning certification and M.Ed. in Educational Technology will allow me to support district initiatives within the Social Studies Sphere as we look at options for medically fragile students in a homeschooling environment. I will also further widen my own professional prospects, and have the expertise to teach undergraduate coursework in Social Studies through online programs so that I may enrich the educational experience for other students as a professor of both disabled and non-disabled college students.

4. Experiences other than formal course work necessary or desired to achieve your objectives. One of my goals is to encourage the development of a cooperative online system/educational app, for use with home-bound students, which assesses student needs by finding gaps in their personal knowledge base and documents their progress on TEKS-based activities with integrated multi modal learning opportunities and data collection, with integrated accessibility features. Of my four teaching certifications the one I cherish the most is Social Studies 8-1 i h grades, and utilizing this knowledge in Social Studies is where I would like to begin in the development of this academic system for our students who may not consistently be in a brick-and-mortar academic setting. For some of my grand ideas, such as this one, I need more than formal coursework. I will also need my stubborn determination and a weekend with the Apple iOS Dev Center to teach myself the basics . The excitement of both assistive and educational technology lies in the fluidity. The areas of opportunity widen on a weekly basis; the availability, purpose, and actual technology available changes constantly, much to the benefit of our students both with and without disabilities as we present the Social Studies curriculum to them in a universal design for learning.

5. Check the box that corresponds to the method of final existing examination that will document that you have achieved your professional objectives. Enter the anticipated Semester and Year for the selected method and initial the form in the spaces provided.
