GourmetFest Event Booklet 2014
Transcript of GourmetFest Event Booklet 2014
Dear Food & Wine Enthusiast, On behalf of Relais & Châteaux President Philippe Gombert, myself and our wonderful team at Mirabel, we are delighted to welcome you to the first annual Relais & Châteaux GourmetFest in Carmel-by-the-Sea. As many of you know, 2014 is the sixtieth anniversary for Relais & Châteaux, and what a better way to kick off this celebration than the GourmetFest commemorating this wonderful occasion.
We have gathered together an amazing group of passionate and talented Relais & Châteaux chefs traveling to Carmel-by-the-Sea to cook just for you, using artisanal products harvested by our local farmers. In harmony with the many beautiful dishes that you will enjoy this year are magical wines, champagnes and spirits from France, Italy, Germany, Spain, New Zealand and California, including some wonderful local wines from Monterey County. We are blessed to have an incredible group of partners including Lufthansa First Class, who flew our chefs, winemakers and wines in from Europe to San Francisco in the style and luxury that only Lufthansa knows how to deliver. You will be one of the first to glimpse the stunning new 2015 Mercedes Benz S Class thanks to Mercedes Benz and taste a wide array of the finest champagnes, wines and spirits from the Moët Hennessy portfolio. Please don’t forget about our online charity that benefits three remarkable organizations. Relais & Châteaux hotels and restaurants worldwide have generously given fabulous stays and meals. Once again, my team and I are thrilled to welcome you and wish you a wonderful weekend.
Bon appétit!
