I'll show you how to get out of a bunker and one of the keys is understanding your sand wedge.

Your sand wedge is not like other clubs in your bag. It’s got the bounce.  It is quite a bit lower than the leading edge.  And so, that creates a skimming effect in the sand.

Different effects in the sand

Skimming Effect - face is open as it hits the sand and then we close the club face, which effectively takes away the bounce.

Digging Effect - face is open and the leading edge catches and digs into the sand.

‘Slide Under’ DrillDraw a line in the sand, try to get an 8inch divot (4 inches each before and after the line), hear the thumping sound.
