Develop a Technology PlanBackground for the Garland ISD Technology Plan

The application process for E-Rate begins with a technology assessment and plan that:

Sets out how information technology and telecommunications infrastructure will be used to achieve educational goals, curriculum reforms, or library service improvements.

Cover the entire funding year but not more than three years

Garland ISD Technology Plan 2010 - 2013The GISD Technology Plan meets the five elements of the E-Rate program:

Goals and realistic strategy for using tele-communications and information technology

A professional development strategy An assessment of telecommunication services,

hardware, software, and other services needed Budget resources Ongoing evaluation process lines of text

1.Increase effectiveness and productivity of administrators, faculty, and staff by automating existing manual processes and procedures.

3. Enable broader access to District Technology Resources within the district and GISD community.

Garland ISD is a district determined to bring state-of-the-art technology to every student in our community. Meeting the standards of the E-Rate Program, our Campus and District are well in the way of bringing higher technological education to the workforce of our future.
