Why separate your indoor and outdoor decor?Choose accessories that do double-duty and fit well with your indoor decor,

so that when your lawn has turned into a bed of leaves and any trace of green has disappeared, they and you can take shelter in style.

INSIDE oUt

CAFE CHAIRMetalworker Xavier Pauchard not only brought the art of galvanizing steel to France, but took the process to the next level by creating the Marais A Chair (1934), the quintessential cafe chair that was both elegant and robust enough to grace the decks of the S.S. Normandie ocean liner.

PATTERNED RUGS The vibrant reds, deep burgundies, and earthy beige of the Senna rug from Pottery Barn define the perfect autumn palette. Featuring a hand-woven eclectic pattern, it looks stunning tucked underneath the kitchen table, or rolled out on the deck.

BRING IN THE BENCH We’re falling for the Jardine bench from West Elm! Crafted from wood, it has a weathered look that adds warmth and cosiness to any space. Use it outdoors to seat several or bring it into your front hallway to remove slushy boots when the fluffy stuff starts to fall.

LUXURIOUS LAMPS Make your outdoor space more cozy with the Bella lamp from Kindle Living. Contemporary in its design, yet traditional in form, it’s as close as you can get to an indoor lamp. All you need is a comfortable sofa, and a good book to curl up with as the fall leaves settle around you.

LINEAR LIGHTING Social gatherings aren’t only for the summer. Keep the party going well into the fall with this fireplace from Paloform. Sleek lines and a low height make it an ideal coffee table replacement, and the warm glow will make all gather ‘round the fire.

BEACON OF LIGHT The Obelisk patio heater from Cook-n-Dine is a stylish sculp-tural feature that wows during the day, and heats during the

night. Tall, sleek, and crafted out of stainless steel, the tower will make guests glow with warmth.

FALL TREND

MONOTONE STRIPES Introduced to mark the new millennium in 2000, the Hudson's Bay Company Collection millennium caribou throw takes the design of the traditional multi stripe and updates it for a neutral modern look.

RING OF FIRE Nothing says camping more than sitting 'round the fire. This contemporary take on the traditional fire pit is not only stun-ning thanks to the weathered metal surface, but also is highly functional by storing yards and yards of wood.

GET KNITThe perfect antidote to a cold evening, this hand-knit blanket keeps you warm and cozies up sofas, chairs and beds with its fringe of long tassels and snuggable texture.

WOOD PRIVACY SCREENWood screens in a variety of patterns and finishes offer privacy and are also

sturdy shields against chilly winds.

When temperatures drop, try these trusted tips to keep the brisk breeze at bay.

EASY, BREEZY GRASS HEDGESOn a more natural note, grasses

can do the job just as well! Plant them in a straight line, and with

clean edges to create a hedge –it will look great as the long blades

of grass move with the breeze.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to building your customized terrarium.

Playing on miniature scale creates an indoor garden objet that not only adds sculptural beauty to a lonely shelf, but also helps keep indoor air fresh.
