Summer Blast Action Guide Details: Boost revenue with a Junior Jazzercise Summer Blast! Host a Junior Jazzercise camp for 4-5 days for 2-3 hours per day. and websites Incentivize parents to share with friends and siblings by giving $5 off for each friend or sibling

they sign up. Set up a contest, whoever refers the most friends wins a FREE camp registration of their choice

Reward Them! Star Chart Reward!

o Put together a board with camper’s names on it and put a star next to their name when they do well or their team wins a game. Prizes at the end of week!

Summer Blast Day 5: Olympics Day!!This is a great time to talk about the Olympics and how all countries come together for the games. It would be a great

time to mention the importance of team work and working together.Time Activity Tips

5 Minutes Introduction of the Day: Mention Jazzercise’s performance in the 1984 Olympic opening ceremonies, and Jazzercise Founder and CEO, Judi Sheppard Missett carrying the torch that year.

10 Minutes Bean Bag Toss: Set out “Olympic Rings” (hula hoops or rings you make). Use the bean bags used on Tropical Day

Give point values to each ring, and move the rings further apart after each round.

15 Minutes Obstacle courses: Divide into two or more teams. Use chairs, tubes, balls, bean bags, rings, mats and hula-hoops to set up different challenges for your group.

Ask them what they want to do! They love creating the obstacles

30 Minutes Do their favorite songs and routines for the week! If your group is smaller, have each person pick their fave!

Remaining Time Olympic Game Charades: Similar to the classic game of charades, but have your kids act out “Olympic Sports” from both summer and winter games.

Perform for Parents- Thank everyone for coming! Remind them of any upcoming classes or camps and take sign ups!

This will teach them about the different “Olympic Sports”. You may have to write out explanations for some of the tricky ones on your homemade game pieces.
