SPIRIT WEEK

June 4-7 SPIRIT Week is a fun gather-ing, perfect for all youth to bring their friends. Kick off the summer with SPIRIT WEEK as we mix four nights with fun, mu-sic, messages, and good food! Every night is different, so check out the details! MONDAY, JUNE 4 (at FBC) 6:00 p.m. Free hot dogs & chips in Youth Room Free t-shirt (1st Come, 1st Serve) 6:45 p.m. Worship with our student band 7:30 p.m. Dismiss for a “Crazy Swim Floaties” Pool Party (Wear your favorite floaties). Parents feel free to join us for food and worship at 6 p.m, then help drive to one of the pools. 8:00-10:00 p.m. High School @ the Bur-ney’s and Junior High @ the Huffman’s. Students should be picked up from the homes above. Questions About VBS

What if my child is not pre-registered? We would like for you to pre-register your child today in the Commons Area near the Preschool Check-in, but if you can’t do it today, we will take care of it in the morning. Where do we come tomorrow morn-ing? Please bring your child to the main en-trance on Lee Avenue (near the col-umns) to check in. We will begin in the Sanctuary promptly at 9:00 a.m. What if I can help with VBS? We still have areas where you can serve...see Dustin Lee or Monica Hornsby today, or meet us in the Sanctu-ary at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Are there schedule changes this week? Yes. We will not have Visitation on Tuesday evening, and all Wednesday evening activities are cancelled except Celebrate Recovery. Instead, we will have an exciting Family Night program on Friday.

When is “Decision Day”? Thursday morning during our worship time, Pastor Steve will explain the plan of salvation to the older boys and girls. If you are trained in FAITH Evangelism and could help with counseling those who make decisions for Christ, please meet in the Church Library Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. for instructions and materials. What is VBS Family Night? VBS Family Night is a great time for the church family to get together and cele-brate the exciting things that have hap-pened during the week. We’ll be joined by a couple of members of the Strength Team who will perform amazing feats of strength and share a motivational mes-sage. Even if you do not have children in VBS, plan to join us at 5:30 p.m. Friday for supper and 6:30 p.m. for the pro-gram.

Minister of Music, John Frank Reeve, will be leading a historic music, ministry, and spiritual pilgrimage to the Holy Land December 26, 2013—January 4, 2014. You will have the opportunity to walk where Jesus walked AND to use music as an outreach to non-Christians through the worldwide premier of a new musical. Tomorrow is the be-ginning of Vacation Bible School for the children and Spirit Week for our Junior High and Senior High students. I trust that you have been praying for the staff, the teachers, and the children. To-night, during our Evening Service, we will have an opportunity to pray specifically for the week of VBS and Spirit Week. I want to invite the entire church family to the Friday night celebra-tion on June 8 at 6:30 p.m. This year’s VBS Family Night will feature members of The Strength Team. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to invite your friends and family to hear the Gospel. Invite everyone you know even if they are not other-wise involved in Vacation Bible School. If you are our guest, I hope that you will take a moment to fill out the registration card that you will find in your bulletin. You may place that card in the offering plate or take it by the Information Center. I am be-ginning a series of messages this morning on the Book of Proverbs. In addition, we will hear a testimony from the Gideons International, an organization dedicated to distribut-ing the Bible around the world. Fol-lowing the service, you will have an opportunity to give an offering to provide Bibles around the world through the Gideon Ministry.
