• Purge Sin from Your Life

• If we want to grow stronger in faith, we must resolve to purge our lives of worldliness.

– “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” (Acts 3:19)

• Revive True Worship• We must resolve to worship God only.

– “You shall have no other gods before me.” Deut. 5:7 • We must worship as God has commanded.

– “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 7They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’ 8You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.” Mark 7:6b–8

– “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” John 4:23–24

• Act on your Faith • Mere belief in God and Christ is not enough,

faith must be accompanied by action.– Faith without works is only dead faith. – “You see that a person is justified by what he does

and not by faith alone.” James 2:24– A working faith is proof of repentance. – “I preached that they should repent and turn to God

and prove their repentance by their deeds.”Acts 26:20b

• Yield to the will of God • Yielding Yourself to God Opens the Floodgates

of God’s Blessings.– “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil,

and he will flee from you. 10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” James 4:7–8a,10

– “The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.” 1 John 2:17

– “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matt. 7:21
