Road rage The Merritt RCMP received a report of a road rage incident, the suspect ve- hicle was reported to be travelling north towards Merritt on the Coquihalla Hwy. Multiple reports were received regard- ing the suspect’s driving, ie tailgating & driving aggressively. One of the com- plainants reported that an occupant in the vehicle was waving a handgun around. Police converged on the area and con- ducted a high-risk vehicle stop at the junction with the Connector. Three males were taken into custody without inci- dent. The investigation is in its infancy, however the handgun has been deter- mined to be a BB gun that could easily be mistaken for a firearm. Bike B&E’d On Tuesday, Merritt RCMP responded to a report of a B&E to a garage that had occurred overnight on Pineridge Drive. The thieve(s) made off with a spe- cialized road bike. Police would like to remind citizens to report suspicious activity at the time it is noted even if the hour is very late as this will greatly improve the odds of catching thieve(s) in the act. If you have any information in relation to this incident please call the Merritt RCMP (250) 378-4262 or Crime Stoppers. B&E and a nap RCMP received a report of a B&E near Petit Creek.
